DDF Exclusive Flowers TV becoming pay channel from October 1 2019

With effect from October 1rst Flowers TV going to be a pay channel priced Rs.10. Advertising started through Newspapers.

2019 October 1 can be seen in the image and the notice is about converting channel to pay.

General public and beneficiaries are hereby notified by the channel broadcasters Suryansh Broadcasting Public Ltd. that the satellite channel Flowers TV will be available to broadcaster networks and each subscriber @ Rs. 10 from 1 October 2019.

Very bad move by flowers TV. After trai implementation of price changes many are reducing price of channels but here they are converting fta into paid channel that too with 10rs +tax rate which is not acceptable

After this...I don't think Flowers TV will get more TRP. As many Channels are getting loss due to it's paid.

Now Mazhavil Manorama may get more TRP because of FTA.

Btw, How is Zee Keralam performing? In my view, Zee Keralam will be biggest gainer if Flowers becomes pay channel.

They can boost their ratings through the upcoming 'Madhuraraja' premiere. The movie is a 100 crore blockbuster and not yet released in any other platforms is a positive factor. At the same time Mazhavil and Surya also premiering 2 hit movies. So the competition go tougher. But after that there is nothing in Zee's hand gather audience in Onam days. Movies aren't good while Asianet has a lot of good titles.

as far as Flowers TV is concerned, Top Singer is one of the best programs. However, the Mohanlal show is being repeated several times but it's interesting. We can watch missed portions. Moreover, they repeat programs during day time. I have both Sun and local cable. The local operator is unable to ad pay channels. They are charging Rs 300 for Free channels itself.

Kerala audience is cost conscious especially when

Sun provides 5 channels Surya, Surya Movies, Surya Comedy & Kocchu at 23.6. Effective price of less than ₹5 per channel

So does Asianet which is giving Asianet, Asianet Movies and Asianet plus at 36.2+taxes additionally customer gets 4sports channels & 2 NAT geo channels. So effective price of less than ₹5 per channel.

Mazhavil Manorama is free and Zee Keralam is available for 12 paise.

People are sure to move away from Flowers.
& Surely Zee will market n try to squeeze in.
It seems to be a big mistake from Flowers. They should have priced it at ₹5 which would have found reasonable response.
