K-pop acts can't sell out stadiums in long run at any International venues except for Asian market. They are one act wonders. They are so going through crisis. They have to manipulate streams to top the charts. They can't rule free streaming market without manipulation. Leave alone influencing their culture.
That's the difference between K-pop and International artist. They don't need to flood content. They don't drop songs every other month. The release good albums once in 2 years. Let Adele drop 5 second teaser of a song. It will break the internet without the requirement of any manipulation and bots. Just look at Taylor re-releasing her albums. It genuinely tops the charts. you said the whole truth but solar power album was average because some of the songs were produced by Jack antaoff I always wanted lorde to go on r&b roots but she gone alternative and psy career ran for 2 years in America and bts and blackpink career ran for 4 - 5 years and about hip hop mostly lil nas x is ruling the genre and most of the songs became hit on tik tok US for example.
