This has been the worst year in Indian television history. Not only we lost some of our most beloved stars. We have also lost so many channels. This is bound to get to worser in 2021. Almost all English GEC and Movie channels will be wiped off from our TVs.

Guess Star World will b revamped or shut down soon.

Zee on other hand seems to carry forward Zee Cafe as it still hopes to tap larger unexplored audience.

HBO SD should have been continued as there is huge potential for English Movie chs to succeed as more people tune into them from smaller towns, cities, villages. English Chs need to reinvent for this audience. OTT/ internet is still not having enough penetration there. Most probably Warner Media took decision to pull out as smaller broadcasters find it tough to distribute chs or compete with bigger players or who knows they might b forming an alliance with bigger players here. Worrying thing is even Cartoon Network is struggling to do well

All blames to Barc who forecasts 900million choice by calculating 40k samples. Who taught them statistics. 🤦🏻‍♂️. Samples must be collected randomly not fixed from same samples for years. Exit polls who forecast same amount of people collecting samples have gone wrong many times . How can we believe BARC data as accurate.

Maybe they didn’t want to ruin the brand identity of HBO so they shut down. HBO as a brand is known for being a premium and making tv series such as Game of Thrones i guess they are trying to maintain that identity.
