Find it quite strange that zee airs full songs from diff movies of which it has satellite rights on Zing but star/disney does not do so on bindass. I mean star/disney has such large library of bollywood films and they can play wide variety of songs without directly acquiring its rights

Guys, what's ur opinion... Will Sony bring back AXN and Sony Mix now that it seems merger with viacom18 is not happening. Also if AXN India rights have been sold to KC Global Media. Planning to write to both tonight to get answers.

P.S. - I think that viacom18-sony merger has been called off bcoz as per my understanding Mr. Chandra indirectly made some statements against Network18 recently for which video is available on forum too.


Also do u guys think infotainment chs should tie up with some YouTube chs, creators for content. There is so much brilliant stuff out there, thru chs it can reach wide audience and benefit them in increasing viewership / revenue. I did write to Discovery last yr on this even suggesting names of chs and program blocks for it but did not get response. This time will write to Nat Geo, they do respond on most occasions

Sony should bring back AXN to india

AXN had very unique shows which no other English GEC airs and these r unavailable to stream legally even on apps or internet

Here r few very interesting channel /service channel concepts which broadcasters and operators should try to bring to viewers

- Ad Free Hindi GEC service channels (all broadcasters) priced at a premium amount
- Sony launching a bollywood movie channel or launch a service channel for it on diff cable or dth platforms
- DTH or Cable operators launching a classic english movie channel and an international cinema (foreign language) service channel
- DTH, Cable platforms trying up with Discovery, Nat Geo or other infotainment content providers to launch service channels which air wide variety of content which r unavailable on regular chs. This should include interesting YouTube content too
- Disney, Turner launching channel / service channels for old cartoons.
- DTH Platforms launching service channel for Spiritual / Bhakti Bhajans
- Operators tying up with broadcasters to launch service channels for niche sports unavailable on regular channels, price should b affordable . Operators coming together acquiring sports properties left unsold and launching service channels for it or have a launch such chs on revenue sharing model
- DTH/Cable Platforms tying up with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and launching service chs airing few select shows on it. This will help both OTT platforms and operators to earn revenue, reach out more people and viewers to watch content on TV as high speed internet still is not available everywhere

Though i can send feedback to broadcasters and respective channel head thru twitter or mail but this is very time consuming. Request u all to help me on this, i can share mail or twitter id's for this thru DM. If we collectively send feedback then our entertainment options will increase and all will get content of their choice. Hope some broadcasters or operators representative too read comments on forum as DreamDTH is quite popular now

Turner should bring back Toonami or Boomerang channel and start airing old 90s cartoons. In US, UK & in some other countries Boomerang is telecasting old cartoon shows
