In any case it’s not a good habit to quarrel on this forum. We all learn from each other’s mistakes instead of fighting and gain knowledge that we can share.

Completely agree with u bro. Today may be Disney-Star, viacom18 or any other so called broadcaster doing good but when it comes to over all contribution nothing can be compared to Zee. Though we are 90s Kids many emotions attached with zee tv and zee cinema. From 1994 to till now zee has given many things.

If zee has contributed to broadcast sector so have others. Zee may have enjoyed 1st player advantage in beginning but later on star/disney have brought about many things and been lot successful thus managing to get leadership position across many genres.

No one is disregarding or ignoring contribution of zee but i / some other members r just highlighting what can b done to improve.

Sorry buddy just by saying here that today disney/Star and tomorrow zee will ahead of them wil not lead to this thing actually coming out true. If u share honest opinion with all broadcasters then only things will turn out better.

Even i am a 90s kid and have emotional connect with so many things but just bcoz of that connect i won't say that thing is best now too if indeed there are shortcomings in their strategy or final product

Buddy i believe you follow/read the posts on the forum on a regular basis and understand each point mentioned in it. I have in the past given detailed explanation about how star india and zee entered/expanded in broadcast television sector. Anyways request u to go thru previous posts once again to better analyse the the journey, how each started / expanded / innovated / faltered / succeeded / failed and reasons for it.

By the way ur 1st point itself is wrong. Zee TV was a JV between star india and zee when it started in 1992. Star India and Zee were partners until the year 2000. So each launched channels to compliment each other. If Zee Cinema was 1st Hindi Movies Channel then at same time Star India launched 1st English Movie Channel Star Movies, Zee launched Hindi Music Channel Music Asia so Star India had English Music Channel called Channel V, Similarly there was Zee News/Star News.

I can explain all the latter things in detail but i suggest u should google and read about bcoz it will b very long thing to write.

Being 1st to enter a market surely creates nostalgia and good recall value among audience but broadcasters need to innovate, experiment and deliver best products so that they r successful. In my opinion zee has done a good job on certain fronts but overall star/disney has been lot better than then on most fronts. Again i have discussed many points on this earlier so u can have a look at it or google information to better analyse the facts.

I have always appreciated every broadcasters for their positive points but constructive criticism is extremely essential. It is the basis to introspect, implement better strategies and deliver good results. Being responsible viewers or even as supporters of zee you should share such suggestions / views with other members as well as broadcasters. Taking everything with a negative perception is non productive and not right.

I always prepare feedback for all broadcasters and share with them / their channel heads with the hope that improvements will happen. Being viewer this is our basic responsibility. Broadcasters do take note of viewer feedback though in some case process will b faster while for others it may take a little longer time hence patience/ persistent r very important. You must have noticed i always raise the issue and state solutions possible for it, this is constructive criticism while just saying negative things about a broadcaster or being biased towards another is what should b considered wrong

Many big actors/producers went to zee for their films premier like salman khan, ajay devgn, Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan, sajid nadiadwala, Shahrukh khan, rohit shetty and many more.

Same is the case with star/disney. Broadcasters / producers enter agreement based on either bonding or best financial/pricing they get for films or both.

zee has created a market which have benefited other broadcasters

Buddy they may have been the 1st player to enter certain genre but that does not they created market for others. Any broadcaster with good strategy and plans can enter and succeed , no matter if they r 1st to enter or last

Really tired seeing posts by blind Zee fanboys as if other broadcasters are nothing. When Star came in India, they launched India’s first private owned television channel StarPlus on February 21 in year 1992. I never see anyone of you acknowledging that fact. Both Star & Zee expanded it’s regional reach by acquiring local networks like Vijay Television & Alpha. Initially both Star & Zee did not expanded it’s regional reach on its own. You can’t give them the credit that the said company launched channels in new markets, they expanded it’s reach by acquiring a well established network. Star were the first major network to enter sports broadcasting via Prime Sports in year 1992 which later became ESPN StarSports & now known as StarSports. Zee Sports on the other hand, launched in year 2005. Star was the first network to launch HD channels. Network 18 was the first network to launch a shopping channel which later got shutdown.

I’m really doubting reliability of this forum. People really sharing half baked information just to satisfy their ego.
