Looks like except Star and Times Network other broadcasters doesn't have money to acquire almost all hollywood banner movies, like Viacom18 still struggling to acquire their own Half Parent Paramount Pictures movies catalogue in India.

Sony should include both SD and HD feed of Sony TV, Sab TV in their respective HD Bouquet....same is allowed under NTO regulations if content offered is different on both feeds. Also Sony Max SD/HD and Zee Cinema SD/HD should also bring differentiation in content aired on both feeds, HD channel can carry primarily bollywood / dubbed hollywood content while SD feed can have mix of dubbed south indian and bollywood + dubbed hollywood movies and include both feeds in their HD bouquet. Incase they r planning to make either Zee Cinema or Sony Max completely dedicated to bollywood movies still HD feed can air some different offbeat, retro bollywood movies....simulcasting of content on both SD , HD feeds is not quite appealing to the audience....there should be some attraction built for people to opt for HD channels and this applies to channels across genres

To compensate for the lost subscribers. They need to take a lesson from their satellite TV business and revamp Disney+ into a Tamil and Telugu streaming platform. That will attract more paying subscribers.

revamp Disney+ into a Tamil and Telugu streaming platform
Please stop bringing up Tamil and Telugu everywhere. If anyone should be blamed for putting too much emphasis on Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, it is Netflix. Every other major OTT platform including Disney+ Hotstar gives huge emphasis to other regional languages like Marathi and Bengali. Beyond a point your frustration with Tamil and Telugu will cross the limit of acceptability.

I am helping them by giving ideas for them to succeed. Look at the state of Star World and Star Vijay. Tamil and Telugu only content can give Disney+ a boost it requires.

Big 4 needs to be FTA channels. We all know subscription revenue is peanuts. Ad revenue is where it's counts That solves half the NCF problem. They can monetize by sports and movie channels.
