Buddy there is an actual reason for the same bcoz they want to drive viewership for such movies towards Star Gold Thrills and their main hindi movie channels. All these Marvel Movies r regularly aired on Star Gold HD, Star Gold 2 HD alongwith their SD hindi movie channels so u can watch them on either formats.

Also usually as HD channels audience is mostly consists of upper middle class urban or rural segment who have access to OTT + Broadband thus it may hold true that barring few very popular movies most of dubbed hollywood movies won't get much ratings when aired on HD channels hence even though UTV HD showcased many popular dubbed hollywood movies before ite eventually was shutdown but it failed to garner ratings thereby limiting ads it got which lead to it being not a viable/profitable venture for Disney-Star....right now too u will see SD feed of Star Gold and Star Gold 2 airing many dubbed hollywood movies but mostly on the HD feed these are not shown.....anyways i have already shared feedback with Disney-Star to air dubbed hollywood movies on their HD Hindi Movie channels so that we get to have a better/enhanced viewing experience and even make a transition towards 16:9 video aspect ratio atl3ast for Star Gold Thrills , Star Utsav Movies and Star Gold Romance as these do not have HD Version though i also requested that if all SD Hindi Movie Channel make such shift then it would be even better.

Also ur point about Sony Pix or And Flix airing many hollywood movies with multi audio option, well these 2 broadcasters do not have a dedicated dubbed hollywood movie channel and they hardly air few dubbed hollywood movies on their hindi movie channels so they have no option but to air all the Hollywood Movies with multiple language option on their English Movie Channels......As u know most people do not even know about such facility being available on both these channels, majority of the target audience won't be knowing how to change language, many MSO/Cable Operators won't be providing these audio feeds and extremely minute % of people subscribe to these channels bcoz these r costly be it via Add On , Bouquet or A la Carte mode so in all still Disney Star has a better content strategy not only in dubbed hollywood movies genre but also in bollywood movies segment where they have a robust + big bollywood audience thus manage to garner very good ratings for all movies aired on their Hindi Movie Channels while rival broadcasters have i feel lost out the audience base for both these genres bcoz of their extremely high focus on airing Dubbed South Indian Movies
Question isn't just about airing dubbed movies, as per my observation both these channels have been very repetitive and biased approach of airing only Marvel's movies, it's so irritating that I request star ⭐ to rename ⭐ movies to Marvel's movies.
Hollywood has huge library not only limited to ' superhero movies '.
Initially star was so good, I really liked them when they telecasted bond movies first ever on their network in both ' English and Hindi' .
But in recent years star movies has been pathetic. Select was too good in initial 2 years of it's launch but it has lost it's track in bizzare manner.
Regarding ⭐ Hindi movie channels airing dubbed movies , as per my observation ⭐ gold/2, utsav are airing only Marvel's movies along with final destination, Titanic and some b-grade movies.
So they are also not fruitful to viewers, moreover they are airing these movies @ 10:30 -11 pm slot which is again miserable decision. It appears that they are airing these movies as ' filler 'i.e. to just fill the time

Two starkly contrasting views coming in from same company about relevance of TV Channels in current scenario

Also few years back Mr. Uday Shankar had completely different outlook about digital taking lead over conventional television

So you want the Viacom18 executive to publicly say that linear is dead and announce in a public forum that the company isn't getting the required ad sales?

Kill TV means not to make tv revenue 0.
Jio cinema has killed hotstar, that doesnt means hotstar is completely 0.
Its that OTT will be fastest growing when compared to cabel

He won't agree.

10 years into the future, Cable will still be growing at a CAGR of 20% according to him.

The first article is more on advertisers during festive seasons and therefore will contain the media statement for public release. The second is on the behind-the-scenes decisions Reliance is taking.

Exactly. The public should not be made to believe from the PR machinery that Viacom18 is not keen on its TV channels. The Mint report is based on insider information that isn’t public.

They are riding on two horses same time and they know how to land safely. If kill TV is their principle definitely they closed Media network and Sold or shutdown their own Cable TV distribution companies. here Most of people didn't understand it's their or Uday Strategy, last time their Viacom18 TV buisness Ads sale team itself unhappy from these things. But Industry everyone happy that Sony/Zee, Disney Star, Sun, ETV performed better Top 15 channels in India.

1stly i have already explained yesterday and earlier too that Linear TV will not see downfall in atleast another 10 years in India. Niche genres r showing shift towards OTT but otherwise TV still holds very strong positioning, even i see niche genre channels making return on TV as OTT itself has many limitations /issues and people will still prefer to have good curated content on TV Channels alongwith watching some content on OTT.

In India it is "&" market and not "or" as there is space for both linear and digital space to grow bcoz of various reasons.

Jio Cinema itself is giving out sports content for free to attract subscribers ,,later on most things will be under paywall so there is no rationale in saying that it has had adverse impact on rival OTT platforms but same is temporary. Disney+Hotstar or other OTT platforms r still performing well and once Jio scales down on freebies in OTT space then things will further stabilise like it happened in telecom sector.

In a country where broadband has limited reach OTT cannot be a winner,,even if broadband expands reach still affordability (OTT + Broadband Subscription) issue will remain and so will connectivity problems hence TV will remain a leading alternative in future too. On mobile screens and among younder audience there is surge in online viewing but on big screen TV dominates by a big margin. Ad revenues too r extremely good for TV Channels with constant increase being noticed in the same

True. Also with all the news that Viacom18 is showing interest in buying Star India TV Channels or having partnership in their TV Channels business itself shows that the claim being made conventional TV paving way for OTT is not true. People r confusing with millions consuming cricket free on Jio Cinema that too on largely on mobile phone with TV being in slide, recent reports of Star India attracting huge number of ads for ICC Cricket World Cup or even such upswing in ad revenue in other genres clearly demonstrate that TV holds its dominant position.

If broadcasters fine tune their channel pricing even more people will make shift from DD Free Dish to Pay TV Platforms
