Why are you thinking about price. If other DTH can give channels, tata sky can give same channels at same price. And in india there are only 165 pay channels, rest are FTA channels which gives carries fee to DTH . So i didnt understand why are you saying this. And yes Tata sky giving better package than Airtel and dish tv[ROI] at now.

carriage fee is not necessarily given by fta ch, pay chs too give carriage fee many times. actually carriage fee has nothing to do with pay or fta channels. carriage fees r pais when a channel asks dth op to add their channel,if cable or dth operator adds a channels themselves or based on customer's demand, no carriage fee is paid

Oh dino really, I heard first time that pay channels are also paying fee.
Then Star plus, ZEE tv, sony tv on dd direct.....

new or old channels most times have to pay carriage to get on a cable or dth platform if they r not popular and people r not demanding it but the ch wants to b on a platform whereas if a channel is popular no carrige fee needs to b pais by the channel as such chs r added by ops themselves. like for example colors paid carriage fee to operators in 2008 when it launched as it was a new channel and wanted to b part of dth or cable platforms but as it became popular and it cannot b removed from any platform as its a popular channel so after 1 year or whatever contract it had, colors does not need to pay c arriage fee.
in d2h , mtunes was added on customer deamdn so no carriage fee was paid by mtunes as d2h added it acc to their will

dd direct plus adds channels only on basis of carriage as that is their only revenue so every ch on dd direct plus b it fta or paid will only b added once u win auction. that does not apply to any other cable or dth operator

Dino then what i am trying to say? Yahi to kah raha hoo mai. All popular and paid channels[except some english] are present in tata sky. In basic package of tata sky gives genre wise channels. And which DTH gives you better channels in base pack .
In Rs.200 base pack.
Dish tv not giving sahara one and filmy, not discovery science, animal planet, history 18, but giving some bengali, tamil, marathi, this different type of regional channels instead of 2 region.
In Airtel, not ZEE action, premier[even not in 275,] discovery science, NGC wild, sony mix, e24, and many more.
Only videocon is good.
I experience of 3 DTH first dish tv, tata sky and Airtel but i can fully sure that tata sky giving best base pack with choosing your favourite ala cart channel. Currently i am using Airtel with 275 pack but not getting all marathi channels and ESS channels, discovery science, ZEE premier, NGC wild, sonic. Then what giving Airtel. Ya giving some telgu, tamil,bangali which is not usable for me [but not all channels of any region]

As other forums are not working, this guy is posting spams here. I wonder how CC is kind enough to exclusively give him all information and not anybody else. This is where MODS should take action and close this baseless thread.
