I presume that they are waiting for the dead line of second phase of ditigization to kick in and want to start adding channels.

Satellite is active on ISRO level. Now tata sky has not set up their uplink station, yes this is true. Channels addition got delayed by tata sky end. It will take some time, south and HD channels are coming very soon, Gsat 10 is now operational. But tata sky is not interested to add more channels like other now they will plan to focus on more interactive services, south channels and HD channels. Also sony six HD, life ok HD, movies now HD will be added firstly and then count will be increase by customer demand with time to time. But this will take some time as tata sky is trying to best on company level [max. 2 moths]

I do not quite agree with this news, ie "Tata sky has not setup their uplink station"....

Tata sky knew they were going to get new Satellite over last 2+ years, and had ample time to setup their uplink station for new satellite, and not sure why would Tata sky would mess up with that.

From my perspective the delay could be due to following reasons,
1) ISRO has not handed over the TPs to Tata sky
have been monitoring on regular basis the movement of the 3 sattelites over last 3 weeks, LIVE REAL TIME SATELLITE TRACKING AND PREDICTIONS: INSAT 4A GSAT 10 and as per earlier communication from ISRO (share in this thread earliest by one of the member), they were trying to co-locate the 3 satellite. The above link on daily basis was confirming the same
There was lot of changes in movement of the 3 satellites over last 3 weeks

2) Tata sky has not yet completed the task of removal of splitters for Tata Sky + users

However I feel the reason more the 1) than the 2)

uplink centre work has been completed. right now isro is working to stbilize orbital position, new chs will come in feb

dino are u sure that on feb new channels will come and how can u say they will add new channels they still haven't got the tps from isro

according to source, tata sky is trying to best on company level. Their effort is to provide ipl in hd so we can expect some good news in march surly. May it can happen before march. But now i am very sure that tata sky will invest more after getting money from an IPO process. So now only wait of when tata sky will file for IPO. It is expected to be end of feb. So tata sky will get clearece in march. Then and then channels addition can be happen.

sbhople bussy ipo has no link with channel addition. ipo is to cover the debt that is onb tata sky

also gsat 10 orbit movement has finally been stabilized today and within few days test signals will start coming
