how to connect 5.1 speaker

Hi

I hv bought new dish hd n hd tv. Working fine. But not able to connect 5.1 speakers. In tv only one port available. Please advise.

If ur speaker system is having a optical in, u can connect it from Dish HD receiver thru optical fiber cable. But, I have connected with an HDMI cable to my audio receiver.
Both the above two options can give you 5.1 out to speakers. Or else tv's having audio return channel via optical cable can be an option. 5.1 need to be enabled in Dish tv HD receiver to start with.
