Mohanlal's Yodha 2 Might Happen: Sangeeth Sivan...

Yodha, the 1992-released Sangeeth Sivan movie still remains as one of the most talked-about films in Mohanlal's career. In a recent interview, director Sangeeth Sivan opened up about teaming up with Mohanlal once again.

Interestingly, director Sangeeth admitted that a sequel might happen for the adventure comedy movie. But, the film-maker also remarked that directing a Mohanlal project in current scenario demands a lot of homework.

Sangeeth Sivan feels that there is no point in associating with Mohanlal for an ordinary film while considering the actor's current career track. If the team is associating once again, the movie should be a never-seen-before experience.

According to the director, Yodha was a crazy idea of a team of youngsters, which fortunately fell into place. Sangeeth Sivan states that he will only do the sequel, if he gets an idea as crazy as the original, which was a path-breaking attempt.

Mohanlal-Sangeeth Sivan duo has teamed up during the 90's for several popular films, including Yodha, Gandharvam, Nirnayam, etc. It will be definitely interesting to watch the actor-duo together, once again.

But, it is a fact that we cannot really imagine a sequel for Yodha, without the presence of the super versatile actor Jagathy Sreekumar. If at all Yodha 2 happens, we will definitely miss Jagathy Sreekumar's presence.

Aby gets a go-ahead, no issues with Vimanam...

Upcoming film Aby starring Vineeth Sreenivasan has received a clean chit from the court. The team of Prithviraj starrer Vimanam has a similiar theme, that of a young man who builds an aircraft and aspires to fly, and had filed a case against the team of Aby.

Initially, Aby's script was supposed to be just about a young man's love for flying but later, on hearing about a real-life person Saji Thomas, a deaf-mute who wishes to fly, the writer, Santosh Etchikkanam, added bits from his life into the script. In the meantime, a certain Pradeep M Nair bought the rights of a film with Saji Thomas's real life story and the two stories clashed.
As of now, Aby will go on floors first.

Just because both films talk about the relationship between a dad and a son, it should not be compared."

He also said that Vineeth and he are good friends and when they discussed about the common plot, the both had said that there is nothing common in the films. Unni Mukundan turns lyricist and singer for Achayans...

The six-pack-hunk of M-town, Unni Mukundan is happy that he got to explore another creative side of his. And you know how? He recently wrote the lyrics for a song in Achayans and also sung it!
A visibly excited Unni says, "It was something which I had never done earlier and it sounds really cute and beautiful!"

The film's music is by Ratheesh Vega. Talking about his singing experience, the actor says, "Though I have given voice overs for my movies, I never had an experience of singing in a studio. It took Ratheeshettan and me five hours to write the lyrics and I sang it in just one-and-a-half hours. We just finished the recording on Sunday."

Quiz the actor as to what prompted him to try singing, Unni reveals, "We had a small after shoot party recently at Vagamon and we were all singing. As the impromptu session gained momentum, it turned out to be a jugalbandi session between Jayaramettan and me. While everybody was cheering for us, the director of the movie, Kannan Thamarakulam suggested why don't I sing for the film."

Unni says that he was a bit hesitant and that's when Ratheesh Vega too motivated him to try. "Ratheeshettan encouraged me and we thought of coming up with something that suits the movie," he adds.

On the song, the composer tells us that it will be a three-and-a-half minute long romantic melody. "It was a surprise for me to know that there is a singer beneath his six packs," says Ratheesh, who also had made Amala Paul and Prakash Raj sing for the film.
