Nivin Pauly's Upcoming Biggie Gets A Title...

Nivin Pauly is all set to woo his Tamil fans with his upcoming Tamil film, which is directed by Gautham Ramachandran. The upcoming biggie is the remake of Kannada superhit movie Ulidavaru Kandanthe.Now, makers of the movie have confirmed the title of the film. Earlier, titles like Santa Maria and Avargal were doing the rounds but now, they have opted for a completely different one.

Reportedly, now the film has got its title confirmed as Richie. Interestingly, Richie is the name of the character played by Nivin Pauly in the film.The film, which will be in the lines of an investigative thriller also features Natarajan Subramanian and Shradha Srinath in important roles. According to the reports, Nivin Pauly will be dubbing for himself in Tamil and the movie is expected to hit the theatres soon.

Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly has a slew of Malayalam films as well, which are gearing up to hit the theatres. Sidhartha Siva's Sakhavu will be the first Malayalam film of the actor to hit the theatres in 2017. A fan made curtain raiser video of the film is already a big hit on YouTube.

Mammootty-Syam Dhar Movie To Start Rolling Tomorrow; The Leading Ladies Finalised.

Mammootty's next project is all set to go on floors. His upcoming film will be with Seventh Day fame director Syam Dhar and the movie is expected to be in the lines of a family entertainer.Reportedly, the shoot of the film will begin tomorrow. The film will be shot mainly in locations like Ernakulam and Idukki.The makers have also finalised the leading ladies of the film. Asha Sarath and Deepti Sati will appear in the female lead roles of the movie.

In a recent interview given to Times Of India, director Syam Dhar revealed more details about the film. The director stated that Mammootty will appear as a trainer of teachers, who hails from Idukki. Interestingly, the character played by Mammootty is also a good storyteller.

Reportedly, Asha Sarath will also be playing the role of a teacher. Meanwhile, Deepti Sati will be playing a different role in the form. This film will be Deepti's second outing in Malayalam after Lal Jose's Nee-Na.This yet-to-be-titled film has been scripted by Ratheesh Ravi and the movie is being bankrolled by B Rakesh under the banner Universal Cinema. The film will also feature actors like Innocent, Dileesh Pothen, Hareesh Perumanna etc., in important roles.

Gautham Menon Project Is Still On Cards: Prithviraj.

Prithviraj, the young talent of M'town is on a high with a handful of promising projects in his kitty. In a recent interview given to a popular media, Prithviraj finally opened up about his upcoming Gautham Menon project.The actor, who rubbished the rumours which suggested that the project has been shelved, revealed that he has already received the advance for the movie. Prithviraj also ensured that the project is very much on cards.But at the same time, the movie will not go on floors anytime soon, due to the date issues of the lead actors. Prithviraj confirmed that the untitled project will start rolling after all the lead actors finish their current commitments.

Kannada star Puneeth Rajkumar andTelugu actor Sai Dharam Tej have already been finalised for the movie. From Tamil industry, Simbu and Jayam Ravi have been considered to essay the fourth lead role in the movie.Reportedly, Anushka Shetty and Thamannah have been roped in to essay the female leads. The movie, which is said to be a multi-lingual, revolves around the four college friends who hails from the four different states of South India.Interestingly, Prithviraj is playing a Malayali youngster in the movie and will have a major portion of his dialogues in Malayalam. The team is yet to finalise the rest of the star cast and technical crew of the much-awaited project.

Fukri gets a Feb 3 release date.

The wait is finally over and Jayasurya's Fukri is all set to hit theatres on February 3. The movie, which is directed by Siddique, has a stellar cast that has Siddique, Lal, Prayaga Martin and Anu Sithara in the lead.

Touted to a comedy, the movie also has a host of relative newcomers and mimicry artistes, who were selected after their performance in a popular comedy show that the filmmaker had hosted.

Meanwhile, Jayasurya is currently busy preparing for his next film titled Captain, which is a biopic on VP Sathyan. The film is directed by Prajesh Sen, who had also assisted Siddique in Fukri.

While Mohanlal's latest outing Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol is rocking on Box Office, its producer, Sophia Paul reveals interesting facts about the movie. She recently told in an interview that the team wanted to cast Bollywood actress Vidya Balan as the female protagonist instead of Meena. It seems Vidya had really liked the character, Aniyamma and was curious to enact the role. However she had to opt out due to date issues.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol brought back Malayalis evergreen couple Mohanlal-Meena to the silver screen after Drishyam. Grapevine has it that Meena and Mohanlal are the lucky couple of Mollywood.

Queen, a film on a girl in Mechanical Engineering batch.

A Malayalam film revolving around a single girl student in an entire batch of boys in the Mechanical Engineering Dept of an engineering college is coming up. The film, titled Queen, is inspired from a real-life photograph which was floating around the internet once, of a girl in a sari walking the street before an entire group of her boy classmates. The director, Dijo Jose Antony, says that he himself is an engineer and he visited the college in the photo to learn more about their lives. The movie is yet to get a cast.

Dulquer Salmaan-Amal Neerad Movie To Release In April.

Dulquer Salmaan starring untitled Amal Neerad project is one of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of 2017. If the reports are to be true, the team has finally fixed a release date for the movie.
According to the sources, the Dulquer Salmaan-Amal Neerad movie will hit the theatres on April 13th, Thursday, as a Vishu special release. However, the team has not confirmed the reports officially yet.

Earlier, the movie which is scripted by Shibin Francis, was slated to release on March 23. But the team was forced to postponed the release to April, due to the unexpected theatre strike organised by Exhibitors Federation.

The team is yet to finalise the title of the project, which revolves around Aji John, a Pala-based youngster and how he finds out his estranged girlfriend. Dulquer Salmaan essays the role of Aji John.

The movie will feature newcomer Karthika Muralidharan, the daughter of cinematographer CK Muralidharan, as the female lead opposite Dulquer Salmaan. Soubin Shahir, Jinu Joseph, John Vijay, etc. appear in the supporting roles

Ranadive handles the cinematography. Gopi Sundar composes the songs and background score. The movie is jointly produced by director Amal Neerad and Anwar Rasheed, for the banners Amal Neerad Productions and Anwar Rasheed Entertainment.

1971 Beyond Borders: Final Schedule Begins In Georgia.

1971 Beyond Borders, the upcoming Mohanlal-Major Ravi movie, has been slated to release for Vishu 2017. The team recently started the final schedule filming of the highly anticipated movie, in Georgia.
According to the sources, the team is shooting the sequences revolves around the UN Peacekeeping Force in Georgia. Reportedly, Mohanlal's character Colonel Mahadevan has been portrayed as a member of the UN Peacekeeping Force in the movie.

Interestingly, 1971 Beyond Borders will feature Mohanlal in the double role, as Colonel Mahadevan and his father Major Sahadevan. The movie deals with the real-life incidents happened during the Indo-Pak war of 1971.

Reportedly, the team has been shooting some high voltage action sequences, featuring the lead actor Mohanlal and a few supporting actors, in Georgia. Mafia Sasi handles the action choreography of the movie.

1917 Beyond Borders, which is the fourth instalment of the Major Mahadevan movie series, is a prequel to the first part, Keerthichakra. The movie has been shot at the various locations of Rajasthan, Kashmir, Punjab, Palakkad, and Perumbavoor.

Asha Sharath essays the female lead opposite Mohanlal in the movie, which also stars Arunodhay Singh, Allu Sirish, Renji Panicker, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana, etc. in the supporting roles.
