I hope members will also apply same logic for Airtel Digital TV implementing 30 day lock in policy for a-la-carte channels to increase ARPU as it will lead to subscribers opting for bouquets or Top Ups while even if they opt for standalone channels still it will help airtel earn more revenue.

But i always see that when Tata Play implements such policies be it above thing or discontinuing free service visit fee and charging for the same...plus recently increasing this fee then many members find reasons to justify its need thereby stating that it is correct decision but when Airtel Digital TV does make such changes in policies then it is criticised.

Also i would rather prefer Tata Play not giving channel packs at Re. 1 under Jingalala Offers rather than increasing other fees / charges
We TATA Play users are very much happy with JSAT offers which no other operators has guts to give such offers.

2ndly 100rs to 200rs minimum recharge is not big deal as most users opt for Annual or Semi annuals packs which is inclusive of additional benefits already from TP like 1 month extra or 15 days validity.

Mobile recharge to keep incoming daily has also risen from 49rs earlier to 199 pm, so TP increasing 100 to 200 doesnt matter much as long PQ, AQ & service is not hampered.

Don't even dare to compare jingalala offers..we are getting the offer twice a week which airtel can't match closely even after offering once a week (super Sunday sale)

Airtel never gives any discount on the broadcasters packs , even they had removed some of the useful packs to force users to opt for higher packs or lock-in ala carta pack (example last time I checked in June airtel mini English movies hd pack removed) ,

I didn’t criticised airtel about 30 day lock in issue as I can remember…
But i still prefer stay locked within a DTH operator for a month rather than 30days lock in for a single channel
Ofcourse it is better in my opinion and I am not criticising airtel it is their strategy

And about jingalala offers
Offering customers is not a bad idea at all I don’t know why u hate that
But offering perks for customers is good every company offers something like this
Even airtel gives this kind of offers ofcourse they are not good as TataPlay but they do have that airtel also offers ott for higher value airtel black plans

I my self saved lots of money with jingalala kids pack for 1rs out of 12 months I am nearly getting 10 months for just 1rs a month isn’t that called saving bro
Is it ok to remove that ott perks for u?
Every company has its own strategy some ideas will work some will not it is a general process

There is no question of guts or anything, various operators are trying to give many discounts / offers to retain existing subscribers and acquire new ones as they r faced with competition from not only rival DTH or Cable TV Platforms but also losing out subscribers to DD Free Dish and OTT platforms.

All i am saying is that all operators r now looking to increase ARPU too just like telecom operators so as to maintain a healthy growth + revenue record.

Lastly bro i have no issues with such offers all i am saying is that since many esteemed members said that steps like increasing Minimum Recharge Amount for charging more for service visit fee are being done to improve revenue which will help Tata Play improve service quality so same logic applies when Airtel Digital TV implements such policies like the 30 day lock in policy for opting for a-la-carte channels....it can't be that when one operator does it then same is right while when another operator does it then it is termed wrong

Both policies are still day and night difference..30 days lock in means they are charging full money for the period whereas ₹200 minimum recharge means it's still your money , you have full freedom to add/remove channel unlimited times within a month!

Practically there is no pack with ₹100, so any customer need to recharge minimum ₹153 , in ideal scenario it will easily be ₹200 .

While after 30 days lock in period by airtel, many fan said other dth will implement the same which didn't happen but after this move by tataplay I am pretty sure airtel will implement the same😂

For Deactivated Customers Airtel Minimum Recharge Is 200 Only

If they implement that it is not a big thing if they improve their services or provide good weekend offers like TataPlay

Even minimum 100 with airtel is not good when compared TataPlay 200 because TataPlay still provides temporary suspension for free and unlimited times

But still I am not saying temporary suspension rules of airtel is not good it is their strategy that’s it

Wrong. Airtel Digital TV does give big discounts on various regular DPO bouquets and even has state/region specific, account specific and other retention plans for its customers. Even for new connections offers , multi tv connection and upgrade offers their pricing is lower than Tata Play barring few exceptions.

There r still various add on packs available on airtel app.

Also for Airtel Black DTH Combo Plan customers most DPO bouquets r being provided with upto 80 - 95% discount on NCF and even 10- 15% discount on DPO bouquet pricing... Many DPO broadcaster bouquets are being provided with Zero NCF charges too for Airtel Black subscribers....also service visit is free and several other benefits being provided alongwith free OTT yearly plans too.

In near future airtel might also start providing regular channel packs as part of Sunday Super Sale Offers.

In coming future lot of changes can be expected, just wait for some more time :)

So u do want airtel to start TataPlay’s jingalala like offers

Than why this statement bro every company has it own ways Jingalala Offers are good u want them to implement in airtel but u also think TataPlay To Stop Them😒

But in both scenarios aim of the companies is to increase ARPU....also mostly around 90% people opt for DPO bouquets and rarely go for Make My Pack or only a-la-carte option for watching channels so 30 day lock in policy for standalone channels does not cause much impact of large majority of Airtel Digital TV subscriber base

Those wanting to subscribe a channel can do so if suppose a sports event is taken place over course of 15 or 20 days or for other situations where channel is needed for few days just opt for upgrading DPO bouquet or choose an Add On Pack which r charged on DBR basis.

Lastly Airtel Digital TV customer care desk/social media team refunds Idle Maintenance Fee and other such charges if u request them so u can even connect with them to get refund for a-la-carte channels before 30 days period expires...they may credit the applicable amount for remaining days in ur DTH Account
