Dont go for the decoder, though it converts either optical or Spdif to analogue 5.1 audio, the output quality is not upto the mark. I personally felt its not good. There is always a little bit noise in the subwoofer despite the stereo or surround.

Bro, I am not forcing anyone to buy it. But I am having a good experience with this decoder. I never faced any noise in sub woofer which is from F&D F700U model. I tried full volume too. Not sure which model Home Theater you are using.

..

Bro don't mistake me i am just sharing my views,I am using philips hometheater and my tv lg smart tv which has both Dolby and dts decoder inbuilt. When i connect my home theater to tv via headphone jack i couldn't find any noise in the sub woofer. Where as the home theater is connected through converter there is always a little amount noise.

Not sure what could be the problem bro! My friend bought one Philips HT (not digital). For him, even for the TV out to HT in also the sub woofer is producing "Grrr" noise..

..

Home theater does not have any problem and it works perfect when it is connected to dvd 5.1. Unless there is no input sub woofer wont produce any noise.... Not only subwoofer, all the other speakers also giving some little bit noise when connected to converter. Those noises are negligible since its very low compared to sub woofer.

Also the converter fails to effectively decode the orgianl Dolby or dts sound from blueray ... D2h sound is very low compared blueray...

The noise is coming only home theater is connected through converter. If turn off the converter no noise... Also if i connect my home theater to other gadgets like mobile, dvd in a full sound of home theater if put mute in those gadgets there ia not even single noise or other disturbances... It becomes very silent...

I understood your problem bro. But what I mentioned is about my friend's home theater...
