Ngl but RIL’s approach to JioCinema leaves much to be desired. They seem more focused on quantity over quality. From what I have seen, there is little to no attention given to the app’s layout, UI or overall user experience. Their priority seems to be acquiring content rather than enhancing the platform itself. Despite launching in 2016 and rebranding in 2023 after merging with Voot, JioCinema still suffers from a poor layout and UI, which reflects their indifference to these aspects.
In contrast, Hotstar also had a rough start but steadily improved over the years, becoming much more user friendly. Thats the main difference between the two.

If RIL were to focus on improving the UI, user experience, and fully rebranding the app, it would be actually good thing.
hotstar improved after disney tookover, they invested their technology.

Disney
White Fang-2 Telugu
Bed time stories Telugu
National Treasure-1,2 Telugu

20th Century Fox,
Predator (1987 & 1990) Telugu
Alien Resurrection Telugu
Alien-3 Telugu
Home Alone-1,2,3
The Santa Clause-1,2,3 Telugu
Ice age-1,2 Telugu

So many blockbuster movies telecasted by Gemini Movies in Telugu with good dubbing,

These movies not available atleast in Hindi also on Hotstar,

Hope Ambani team will use Disney content properly.

Only in DDF can we see people defending this useless company like it is part of their ancestral inheritance.

Hotstar didn't gain any goodwill. If it did, it wouldn't have lost 25-30 million subscribers. Today, if you shift all the Anupama & Saas Bahu content to JioCinema, no one would think twice before installing JioCinema app.

Someone said it's a premium service. No, it's not. Hotstar never made a profit in all these years. Their ARPU is just $0.70 per month, and most of their subscribers are through bundle deals with ISPs and DTH companies.

JioCinema may have the worst UI and UX, but the majority will ignore the bells and whistles. I don't need to defend RIL for their shortcomings because their business decision will be sound, unlike Disney Star.

Which majority ? The one who watch pirated content ?

They simply dont matter. Are they paying money ? No. They are as useless as somebody's taunts. The one who matters are the ones who subscribe to their platforms (15 million paying subscribers who are daily facing clumsiness from this service) and it should and must be matter of concern to them.

They will have to revamp the user interface according to how we want otherwise they can wrap it up and leave. We are paying so we will freaking decide who will stay who will go. And if they even dare to ignore us then nothing will save them from sinking in the upcoming years.

As consumers it is our right to defend the right company.

"Only in DDF we see people defending a useless company as if its part of their ancestral inheritance??" Lol, yes, we can all see this from how some are defending that useless JioCinema, while everywhere on social media, people are trashing the app. Stay delusional, the joke's on you. 🤣🤣

Hotstar hasnt created goodwill?? Lol, even after losing major sports events like the IPL, classic HBO shows, and a few other contents, it is still standing strong at the number one position with 36 million subscribers, despite losing 20-25 million subscribers. This speaks volumes about the brand image it has built over the years. In contrast, JioCinema is still struggling to surpass 15 million subscribers with its ₹29 per month pack.

(JioCinema Premium includes ad-free content in several languages, including original series, movies, children's shows and TV entertainment on any device, including connected TVs, for ₹29 a month. It takes aim at Netflix, Disney+Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video, apart from domestic rivals in the Indian over-the-top (OTT) services market.
JioCinema itself takes aim at NF, DPHS, APV, this line speaks volume about what kind of image it has been built over the years that its comparable to other 2 mega OTTs. Only few delusional people will ignore its brand image. Haha.)

Now tell me, if someone removes IPL, English shows, etc., how many subscribers will JioCinema lose?? Who even wants to watch those trashy serials on Colors, whose names arent even known compared to Anupamaa?? If we remove IPL, JioCinema's subscriber base would probably go into negative numbers. 🤣🤣

Everyone is trashing JioCinema. Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Reddit everywhere. I dont know how they could be so ignorant of something that is so visible to everyone. The app is rated 3.5 on Google Play. 😂 Most of the reviews are negative. They even had to delete some of the negative reviews to make it look cleaner. If it keeps falling, Google will surely remove the app from Play store because of its low quality.

Thats not true, Jio cinema has lucrative entertainment contents like Bigg boss , KKK which drives in excess viewers during its period.
Major issue with indian services are they dont create brand which can be leveraged. bigg boss was not created by viacom but they pillaged the heck out of it. It has 2nd highest viewer base only to IPL. HBO shows or other premium show market is very low, But jio cinema used this opurtunity and started to dubb these shows in regional language.

so its clear that even if hotstar had all chance to impress , failed to do.
hotstar high bundled users. so if a network provider drops the service, 80% wont re subscribe

So after so much of trashing, Ambani decides Jio cinema is the only OTT after Star-Viacom18 merger, shuts D+HS. :ROFLMAO:
