Thats not true, Jio cinema has lucrative entertainment contents like Bigg boss , KKK which drives in excess viewers during its period.
Major issue with indian services are they dont create brand which can be leveraged. bigg boss was not created by viacom but they pillaged the heck out of it. It has 2nd highest viewer base only to IPL. HBO shows or other premium show market is very low, But jio cinema used this opurtunity and started to dubb these shows in regional language.

so its clear that even if hotstar had all chance to impress , failed to do.
hotstar high bundled users. so if a network provider drops the service, 80% wont re subscribe

That property isnt owned by JioCinema itself. Just like the IPL, they have the rights to broadcast it, and its airing on both Colors and JioCinema because they obtained those rights. Isn't that correct?? Recently, JioCinema even removed all previous seasons of bigg boss prior to BB15 due to rights expiration. If, tomorrow, another network pays a hefty sum for the BB rights, they’ll get them. So what exactly does Colors truly own?? Nothing.

Hotstar has a large number of bundled users, but what about JioCinema, which is included in every Jio recharge pack?? Aren't these also bundled users?? Most Indian OTT platforms are surviving with bundled users, so whats wrong with Hotstar having them as well?

Where is the proof that Jio Cinema is the sole OTT after Star Viacom 18 merger ? Dont show me those articles based on assumptions.
Star-Viacom18 merger happened after those assumption articles from big news magazines, so we are thinks, Jio cinema as the only OTT will happen on same way, otherwise wait till Nov.

Reliance couldnt be that dumb to make Jio Cinema the sole OTT at all. They would either rebrand Hotstar app as Jio Hotstar or create a new app to merge everything in it. It will be a clownery if they merge all Hotstar content into Jio Cinema. They will lose many Hotstar loyal subscribers and this will call for a massive uproar from the loyal consumers who are spoiled by the app's high quality.

Disney
White Fang-2 Telugu
Bed time stories Telugu
National Treasure-1,2 Telugu

20th Century Fox,
Predator (1987 & 1990) Telugu
Alien Resurrection Telugu
Alien-3 Telugu
Home Alone-1,2,3
The Santa Clause-1,2,3 Telugu
Ice age-1,2 Telugu

So many blockbuster movies telecasted by Gemini Movies in Telugu with good dubbing,

These movies not available atleast in Hindi also on Hotstar,

Hope Ambani team will use Disney content properly.

All all of these r aired in Hindi on Disney-Star Hindi Movie Channels, even on their OTT platform i believe many of these r available in Hindi

Ambani waits for time to unbundle D+HS app from rival telcos/isps, so wait for fight.

"Only in DDF we see people defending a useless company as if its part of their ancestral inheritance??" Lol, yes, we can all see this from how some are defending that useless JioCinema, while everywhere on social media, people are trashing the app. Stay delusional, the joke's on you. 🤣🤣

Hotstar hasnt created goodwill?? Lol, even after losing major sports events like the IPL, classic HBO shows, and a few other contents, it is still standing strong at the number one position with 36 million subscribers, despite losing 20-25 million subscribers. This speaks volumes about the brand image it has built over the years. In contrast, JioCinema is still struggling to surpass 15 million subscribers with its ₹29 per month pack.

(JioCinema Premium includes ad-free content in several languages, including original series, movies, children's shows and TV entertainment on any device, including connected TVs, for ₹29 a month. It takes aim at Netflix, Disney+Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video, apart from domestic rivals in the Indian over-the-top (OTT) services market.
JioCinema itself takes aim at NF, DPHS, APV, this line speaks volume about what kind of image it has been built over the years that its comparable to other 2 mega OTTs. Only few delusional people will ignore its brand image. Haha.)

Now tell me, if someone removes IPL, English shows, etc., how many subscribers will JioCinema lose?? Who even wants to watch those trashy serials on Colors, whose names aren't even known compared to Anupamaa?? If we remove IPL, JioCinema's subscriber base would probably go into negative numbers. 🤣🤣
Your lack of knowledge speaks volumes about how much you really read about Hotstar.

36 million subscribers through bundle deals. If the subscribers actually bought it directly then the ARPU would've been much higher.

This clearly shows how much they're dependent on these telecom and DTH deals instead of leveraging their content and brand name like you're saying.

If we remove these deals, Disney+ Hotstar would go into negative numbers or less than 3 million.

Nobody will deny that JioCinema is a crap app with mediocre content but saying Hotstar is some A tier app is just being ignorant.

JioCinema makes total sense to be the flagship streaming service irrespective of what a minority of subscribers think.

What about your lack of knowledge regarding JioCinema being included in every Jio recharge pack?? That's why they currently have 15 million subscribers, its also bundled deal right?? 😒😒

Even your favorite app mentions in articles that they aim to compete with major OTT platforms like Netflix, Disney+Hotstar and Prime Video, so the joke is on you for claiming that Disney+Hotstar isnt a tier A app. Has anyone ever said such a thing about JioCinema?? No one would ever even mention that trashy app. So, keep staying delusional.

Show me valid proof that 90% of Hotstar's subscribers come from bundled deals. Just provide solid evidence to support your claim that without those deals, Hotstar would only have 3 million subscribers. Don't rely on baseless assumptions.

Secondly, if we follow your logic, then if Jio removed JioCinema from its bundled recharge packs, JioCinema would end up with negative subscriber numbers. So, even with your incorrect assumption of 3 million subs, DPHS is still far better.

We're discussing Hotstar merging into JioCinema, which is why the comparison is relevant. The fact remains that DPHS is far superior to JioCinema, and that's the main point, not whether they're a top tier app.

Ohh and its bold of you to assume, this is what minority of subscribers thinks when everywhere on social media trashes that app. So funny.
