Review of my new Sun Direct HD HEVC Recording Box with pics:

You heard it right. Review from me. I previously had Sun HD but it was dormant for some months. Now new HEVC Box.

PQ- Average for SD Channels, Good for HD Channels.

PQ (SD Chs) - 05.5/10
PQ (HD Chs) - 07.5/10

AQ - Normal in Sun DTH channels but too high in RDTV shared channels.

AQ- 06.5/10

Channel composition - suits my family and my needs - ABP Ananda, Aakash Aath, DD Bangla, Zee Bangla, Star Jalsha, Mirror Now, Times Now, Fyitv18 HD, Travel XP HD, Sony Rox HD etc....

Missing Channels - 24 Ghanta, Sony Aath & Republic TV.

Remote very user friendly. Channels including HD categorised genre wise.

very cheap cost wise compared to other brands.

Minuses - less channels, signal issue at times. (Measat signal issue happens at times specially with RDTV shared channels.)

Only suitable for people like me who needs less channels.

Quality wise ok but quantity wise poor.

Overall - 06/10.

I am more or less satisfied. But I request them to add more channels for my other ddf friends who are using sun direct.

As of now, Adtv have launched so many packs for every user. I know you would have done all research before buying Sun Direct.
So, I am eager to know how much you are paying and what channels you are getting.

As of now, Adtv have launched so many packs for every user. I know you would have done all research before buying Sun Direct.
So, I am eager to know how much you are paying and what channels you are getting.

I earlier had a Sun Direct SD Box which was kept dormant for months. This was basically an upgradation. I paid total RS 2,249/- with 3 months of subscription. (It includes upgradation charge RS 699/-)

I have subscribed to Value Plus Pack with free Bengali Regional Pack for SD Channels @ RS 279 p.m.
For HD, Ultra Sharp HD @ RS 150 p.m.

Total RS 429 p.m. But as I have recharged it for 3 months the total became a bit less - Supposed to be RS 1,287 for 3 months but I paid RS 1,150 for 3 months which eventually becomes RS 383 p.m. approx.

Regarding channel composition I am getting the following required channels:

A. English News:

3. Mirror Now
4. NDTV 24X7
5. CNN News18
6. India Today
7. News X
8. WION
9. CNBCTV18
10. Russia Today

B. English Movies:

I had a fascination for sun direct so I again went back to it.
