May be they are in deep search of 3 lettered words like max, pix etc. Unlike others they won't give longer names for their channels. It was difficult to find words. If right name is got they will launch channels:gn::gn:

Urban = Lucknow, Jaipur, Patna, Indore, not always Mumbai or Delhi. Maybe the Tier II cities want to watch South films.

But yes, Sony Max HD still shows classics. The problem is that classics (as well as recent but less popular movies) are shown in the late night and early morning when nobody will watch. For example:
