There r many films / films of different banners whose rights r with multiple library companies. Really confusing if broadcasters get satellite rights from whom and if some broadcaster acquires rights from one library company then can another broadcaster acquire same from other company or it gets barred after first sale. Maybe satellite/digital rights held with producers or banners for such films and they sell it to broadcasters or library companies.

Aftab pics, Baba Films, Venus Films, and many other banners or individual films have this pattern

I do not understand why zee just keeps repeating movies continuosly which r set to expire soon from their network ..... Holiday, Commando Series, Entertainment, Main Tera Hero, Dhamaal, No Problem, Gopi Kishan, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana and many more just airing 10 to 15 in a week. Also other regular movies too keep airing over and over, they r not using big bollywood library properly which would help them compete well with star/disney

Also i had thought sony would give adequate airtime to T Series films across chs after YRF exit and don't let T Series feel that visibility of their films r less on sony hindi movie chs but it does not look like happening. Sony can very well manage a good new age bollywood channel and compete with others but seems to b not thinking about doing this, mix of new popular, good post 2000s films, some 90s films and some offbeat ones (on hd feed) would work great.... Just like how star/disney schedules content on star gold.

Lastly Colors Cineplex needs to have more bollywood films on Colors Cineplex SD till Colors Cineplex Bollywood is available across operators, they have nice bollywood library and will get good ratings.

All in all till now Star/disney is only network outstandingly managing to run flagship (star gold, star gold 2) , secondary (utv movies and free dish channel (star utsav movies) with bollywood films forming backbone of content line up.... Not only this they r only network having a hollywood dubbed movie channel and a bollywood channel for offbeat cinema which is well distributed
Ditto. This has remained a concern. Zee really has a vast bollywood library and can easily compete with Star-Disney. Every week same movies are repeated - Kesari, Good newz, Race 3, Aitraaz, Commando to name a few on HD.

It was a welcoming move to see Jo jeeta hai wohi Sikandar on HD feed yesterday. Zee really needs to fire the person who’s behind it’s scheduling strategy 😜

The best thing Disney-Star has done by renewing films from banners rather than individual films
Now
Dhanoa Films, Doshi Films and Tina Films International all library have been moved to Disney-Star
Shemaroo is ending its association with Sony I guess and that's why Films particularly owned by Shemaroo are moving out.
Although Sony has got a new partner in the form of Ultra Films Losing a huge content library like Shemaroo is a huge loss.
With the Zee Merger Sony may get a huge impetus but still Shemaroo Entertainment leaving and Goldmines Giving preference to their own channel for classics , Sony has suffered a huge Huge blow
