I think old NG Grandson movies won't b shifting to zee and infact future NG Grandson movies too likely to have to have Disney-Star as satellite partner. Zee might b having agreement with NG Grandson for 3 or 4 films out of which 2 have already released, all movies after that most probably will be premiered on Star Hindi Movie Channels.

Reason is quite simple that Disney-Star is by far the best and miles ahead of competitors as far as managing + scheduling bollywood movies is concerned....bcoz of their content strategy of giving diverse & more bollywood movies adequate airtime across their hindi movie channels, they have built an extremely strong + loyal bollywood audience base which translates into getting good / excellent ratings for such films. Other broadcasters have given far too much focus on dubbed south indian movies and bollywood audience do not mostly tune into their channels bcoz of this reason thus it can be seen that not only above average new bollywood films are not managing to get success on their channels and even new blockbuster bollywood films rather getting just about good ratings in initial few airings while later these are also not performing well. Scenario is completely reverse for Disney-Star Hindi Movie Channels where even average or below average new bollywood movies r mostly managing to get average ratings for many airings and above average/good new bollywood films r getting extremely high ratings.

Even incase of older bollywood films not only Disney-Star Hindi movie channels air lot of more of these & have a varied selection of such films thus repetition of films being quite less which coupled with very good scheduling translates into high ratings while its rival network again lack in this department wherein u will see less variety & count of bollywood movies on sony-zee hindi movie channels...as far as viacom18 is concerned Colors Cineplex Bollywood definitely airs large number of different bollywood films but its other 2 channels r heavy on dubbed south indian movies content hence again they r overall quite behind Disney-Star as farcas catering to bollywood audience is concerned.

Remember in today's age visibility for its films is very important for any movie/producer banner... So zee-sony or viacom18 may offer more money to acquire rights of "some" bollywood films but if they r not given proper airtime or do not manage to achieve good ratings on TV then producers/banners would surely get concerned....Disney-Star though may offer less money to acquire rights for such films but as it gives excellent airtime to bollywood films & manages to leverage the potential of bollywood movies in best manner hence bollywood movie producers/banners which show great interest in partnering with them

Why can't other classic movies gets Sholay type treatment? Even 90s movies doesn't get proper airtime. Channels are stuck with same recent bollywood and some South movies. You don't need Bollywood or Classic channel to showcase beauty of Indian cinema. You can do it on flagship movie channel which is supposed to be mix of everything.

Yeah many classic movies don't get proper airing that's a very sad thing....don't know what's soo good in those crap hindi dubs of South indian movies LOL 🤢🤮
TV channels just are here to only earn, they should also provide variety of different content to viewers as much as they are consuming money....

As i had been anticipating for last one year, movies whose rights r owned by salman khan r expected to shift back again to disney-star. Maine Dil Tujhko Diya is one such movie and it has already been renewed by Disney-Star, airing Monday afternoon on UTV Movies.

It could also be a case where rights of this movie r now with some library company and disney-star renewed it from them. Need to wait little more for confirmation and see if other movies too move out of zee or not
