@Divyam bro please share ur feedback with the hindi movie cluster head of Viacom18 via X (Twitter), i did so back in August 2021 providing proper reasoning as to why Colors Cineplex HD should be a pure play bollywood movie channel as it shall be able to cater to huge bollywood audience base by best utlizing their vast bollywood movie library and garner good ratings....i even explained resons why airing Dubbed South Indian Movies (barring premieres and few popular ones) won't yield good ratings on the HD channel ...... Thankfully their channel head read my feedback, absorbed the same and post evaluation within few months Content Strategy of Colors Cineplex HD underwent a change thereby airing just bollywood movies but sadly on October 28 2023 they reverted back to Old Programming Format wherein HD channel simulcasts content aired on SD feed

In this case star and zee has always excelled even star gold select and &xplor hd are not much profitable for them but they are still running those channels and that too without ads but sony and Viacom are trp hungers if they don't get sufficient trp they start running South films on their hd channels if this continues even Viacom will stop getting Bollywood movies just like sony

Hey, did anyone noticed that Vikram (2022) Isn't showed on Star for atleast 4 months. I am talking about Hindi version, so is this a sign it's not more with star?

Buddy here i was just discussing as to why HD Hindi Movie channels should having bollywood content driven approach, you can read the posts in below thread for better understanding on the same

Regarding Viacom18, sony, zee airing more Dubbed South Indian movies, i have earlier too discussed on this in detail at various occasions...... As per my understanding / estimation due to this there certainly would have been huge erosion in their bollywood audience base hence it would have impacted in adverse manner the ratings bollywood content gets on their channels while Disney-Star has been at the forefront & excellent in airing diverse + good bollywood content across their hindi movie channels hence built a robust + huge bollywood audience base which is why they would be getting good ratings for even below average or average bollywood movies while those films which have tremendous liking automatically will garner excellent ratings..... Box office numbers do not necessarily indicate whether a movie is good or bad as a movie catering to urban audience may do well at cinemas but on TV Channels it will not get similar viewership / ratings but a masala bollywood movie may flop at box office but on TV it may become huge hit like Tarzan - The Wonder Car or recent movie Laxmiii.... Disney-Star is able to leverage best potential from each bollywood movie it has as part of its film catalogue as when aired these deliver the desired ratings while incase of other broadcasters i feel these under perform (based on my observation as to how these movies get scheduled or aired past few initial airings )

Not only this Disney-Star is the only broadcaster having exclusive channel for airing Dubbed Hollywood Movies and even on their other hindi movie channels such content gets adequate airtime, other broadcasters lag far behind on this front too.

Soon a classic / retro bollywood movie channel and kids movie channel might also be launched by Disney-Star.

Star Gold Select SD/HD and &Xplor HD r indeed excellent channels and both Disney-Star and Zee need to be complimented for the same as despite attracting hardly any ad revenue they r still running these channels which cater to niche audience.

In English Movies Genre Zee Network channels are airing quite good content alongwith Sony Pix..... MN+ too is a very good channel alongwith Romedy Now
Movies Now , MNX, Star Movies repeat content too often while Star Movies Select still seems to be in transition stage from being a channel for critically acclaimed cinema to now airing mix of mainstream + critically acclaimed movies but again few movies r being repeated quite often, i think soon it will undergo revamp in content strategy thereby expanding content it airs

It got less trp, enthusiastic north audience more likely watched it more on ott rather on Star gold.
Absolutely, Star Gold has more Bollywood audience. There are very few South Indian films which they air in prime time. If I am not wrong, this year Vikram is not aired at prime time after January. Even it was aired only once on their FTA channel and that was in month of January only.

(In my opinion Disney-Star should begin a channel which would show South Indian movies. They have many other movie channels. So one more channel would be no harm.)
