I've observed this many times if a movie plays in star movies same movies hindi version will play in star gold or star gold 2 at same time..

Bro why only Hollywood why can't Bollywood movies like koyla hum saath saath hain can bring trp to zee then why cant star get trps in airing Bollywood movies.. must be star has spoiled most of Bollywood movies by playing repeatedly so it depends on Hollywood movies..

Hi buddy! Answer is very simple bcoz star has not kept movies like Hum Saath Saath Hai for select airing, star/disney airs even such mass appealing films at various slots hence viewership gets distributed across it. Not like star/disney not getting ratings from old films but just that certain films get a spike in ratings for chs thus gap gets increased between them and competitors. Also if u notice u can see star is doing fairly on par with others in urban but gap is more in rural bcoz zee, sony air more dubbed south indian films which get ratings in rural belts while star has stronghold in bollywood, urban base.... This also commands diff ad rates thus not a major issue for either of broadcasters.... Star will still b getting good ad rates for bollywood films, hollywood films compared to what most dubbed south indian films manage to attract. Star Utsav Movies if lands on free dish, will surely get no. 2 slot

But yeah i do agree star needs to keep certain films for specific airings rather than showing them quite regularly.... They have lot of content but proper scheduling is required while sony requires lot more bollywood content. Zee again is doing too much repetition on z bollywood, and pictures and ze action is turning out useless

One Of The Reasons Why Star Gold And Star Gold 2 Is Not Getting TRP Is That When A Hollywood Movie Is Being Aired On Star Gold And Star Gold 2(Sometimes UTV Action Also),The Same Hollywood Movie Is Being Aired On Star Movies Also. So Hollywood Watching People Prefer Mostly English Over Hindi Dubbing. Even Currently, The Good Dinosaur Is Being Aired Simultaneously On Star Gold 2 And Star Movies. So This Is One Of The Reasons Why Star Is Getting Less TRP.

I agree to whole point except that south movies point. those get response from all belts urban, rural and overall check the ratings of those and u can see the ratings of Mr Majnu and other South ones also it has got outstanding response from all urban, rural and overall. And big south movies also gets good ad rates. Plus bollywood movie marjaavan in top 5 urban
Don't think that star is only having strong every network having strong belt which get trp, currently star behind in all belts

Yeah bcoz they have maintained separate ch for eng, dubbed versions... Star Movies since beginning never had lang feeds. Also certain time bands r suited for a type of audience and airing it simultaneously helps broadcaster understand overall reach of the film which inturn gets advertisers to buy slots as per the target audience they wish to communicate with

Sony Max is doing good in rural, urban, overall belts too but gap b/w them and star is less in urban so which means bollywood movies r providing edge to star here. Mr Majnu is again a film premiere getting channel spike in viewership which again contributes majorly to pump up ratings. Still there is vast audience who do not have pay tv subscription but watch mostly bollywood movies as u can see with Z Anmol Cinema ratings so if star/disney is able to reach out to them then soon they will b able to match or overtake sony max

Again I agree with you but What about Allu Arjun and few others which then?? Those have great repeat value being south movies so only 'premier' reason for Mr Majnu doesn't hold true.And again those are Indian cinemas at first

So their contribution in urban, sony is high than zee and star currently
