That depends upon the co producer eg Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was produced by Fox Star even though Rajshri has a deal with Zee. Satellite rights went to Star.

That solely depends upon producer. Even though Salman had a deal with Star Sultan, Ek tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda hai went to Sony because of Sony-Yrf deal. in case of Maidaan the producer is Boney Kapoor who has partnered with Zee for his upcoming films.

Viacom also has exceptions too. Drishyam , Son Of Sardaar (Ajay Devgn- Star) initial slate of its movies (Zee) Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Star) and Queen (sold to Shemaroo) who then sold the rights to Sony.Aamir Khan will give to Zee only. Viacom is involved due to Forrest Gump factor. The original movie was produced by Paramount Pictures which is the parent company of Viacom 18
