Instead of NCF, put pressure on government to reduce GST on TV entertainment because launching satellites and maintaining them is not cheap. Sun Direct offers low NCF but they also have fewer channels and limited presence in ROI, low cost will help them in growth.
Who launches satellites & who maintains them?

Who launches satellites & who maintains them?
DTH Companies pay for both. Recent example is Tata Play renting entire capacity of GSAT 24 satellite.

K Sivan, secretary, DoS, told TOI: “As part of the reforms, the role of NSIL now is to also own and sell assets and the first satellite it will acquire is GSAT-24 which will be launched to cater to TataSky’s DTH business. So far, Isro owned all the satellites and its services were sold through Isro’s own entity (Antrix). This (NSIL) will usher in a new era in India’s commercial space activity.”

My opinion regarding this is that they should take NCF from us 150rs or atmost 200 rs.(inc.taxes) and provide channels till our amount reaches 150 or 200. Just like electricity bill, 150 or 250 rs is fixed, and we can use the electricity till 150 or 250rs. For more, it will be added to fixed bill.
For example, if we want to watch any channels worth 50rs, then the overall bill should be of 150rs or 200 rs whatever will be fixed by govt. and for the channels worth rs. 160rs or 210rs., the bill should be of 160rs or 210rs.

#No NCF
#Fixed rent of ₹150/- per month for all channels.
Let's Boycott Tata Play and all DTH and Cable TV operators to stop charging NCF to watch paid channels.

What type of Madness is this. If you don't want to pay NCF then it's better to stop watching TV.
Single OTT apps can charge 150-200/- per month for their basic plan and still users buys that & also by giving extra 250-300/- per month to INTERNET operators to use that app.

And you are thinking 153/- minimum amount is a burden to users from DTH operators who pays in crores for Satellites and also manages their team (Front End team , Back End Team, Technicians , Dealers, Customer Care executive etc.)

If Govt. Stops DTH operators to take NCF then all the DTH providers will have to shut their company.
(Tell me Which DTH can afford to provide you single channel without NCF?)

Stop making such type of threads.

DD FreeDish
Can you watch famous channels on DD free dish which are paid in Private DTH operators?
No you can't.

BTW I m not talking about DD free dish . It's a government owned DTH (with useless channels except DD Sports 1.0).
No private DTH can survive without any minimum compulsory amount.
