Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) is seeking rapprochement with Sony Group as it makes a last-ditch effort to resurrect a USD 10 billion merger, according to industry sources. After the Japanese multinational firm pulled the plug on its USD 10 billion merger deal in January, the Indian company reached out again to Sony to reconsider the termination and offered for talks this month, a source said.

Do not post the whole message in UPPERCASE. It is considered as shouting and hence not allowed in our forums.
Apparently, the Subhash Chandra-founded TV network has reached out for reconciliation with Culver Max Media’s parent Sony with an offer to revive the aborted $10 billion merger this month. The PTI report said Sony is understood to be studying the proposal - though it got no confirmation from either of the two parties.

The report added that Zeel had – despite all the litigation between the two that hit the headlines following the dropping of the merger plan by Sony – had never stopped trying to bury the hatchet and that it was the former which had approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to enforce the fusion between the two.

This only confirms that Sony only does takeovers and doesn't share leaderships. If they can't control their new business they won't bother.
