bro. whether u recharge on monthly basis or on long term basis, information ll b same.
but there r certain benefits:
price protection for the entire period
one month free
if any channel add during the lock in period, it ll be added to ur pack also.

about ur q, please tell me if u do monthly recharge then how u come to know whether which channel is going to b added. bro no one knows.

If I do monthly recharge I can change my packs at will but on long term packs I ll lose the benefit if i change my pack. Anyways I can recharge 3 month pack to get that benefit.

If you are HD customer never go for long term Magnum HD package. Because as per Airtel, Only new SD channels will be added into the existing package but not any new HD channels. As per Magnum HD package has two components SD portion and HD Portion. SD portion is same as Magnum SD and any new channels which are getting added to Airtel will be part of these package except premium and special channels.

The HD portion have so many combination like 2HD, 11HD, 18HD,19 HD, 21 HD, 22 HD and 23 HD as of now. So one of these combination will get combined with Magnum SD package to make Magnum HD package.

So if you opt for ARP magnum plan for example 19 HD package you will continue to have 19 HD channels till the period for which you paid advance rental. If any new HD channel added during this period won’t be part your package.

This is same for monthly package also. This has happened to me. I was on Magnum HD 18 HD package when Life OK HD was added. I was paying INR 610 for it. But Life OK HD was not added to my package. Then I called CC after they added Life OK HD in HD plus topup. I argued with why it was not added in my package. After no success, I emailed them with TRAI people in CC and then they responded as I mentioned above.

Then I checked my self care portal I could able to see Magnum HD+19 HD available for same price. So I opted for it and got Life ok HD for without paying single penny more. If I was on ARP packages either I should opt for alacarte or cancel the current subscription which shall cancel the remaining months benefit. Both was not a good option Since I was on monthly package I could able to cancel my subscription and opt for new with same price.

In short if you want all HD channels, don’t go for long term Magum HD packages by seeing free months and reduced rentals. At last you will end up in paying more.

Please see the response I got from Airtel below.

There were some exceptions. I am also getting SS HD3 without package change. Same was the case with EPIC HD also..But it was not always to be like that.. Play safe..

You will get almost same low rental as long term packages if you do some reserch.

Always recharge for INR 510 once in a month. then you will get 40 R.s Cash back and use paytm or free recharge cash back option to get further discount.

ARP is highly risky when 2 HD channels are being added per Quater !!

Yes Bro, as i said earlier ARP are high risk material. If you dont have frequent access to internet and online transactions, then only go for ARP. otherwise monthly package is good.

Yesterday i recharged my Airtel account with 650 R.s but i paid only 535 R.s.. I got R.s 115 as cash back using paytm and airtel cash back offer.
