Good News Tata Sky is now officially Tata Play

Even today they are promoting that SD box with “DVD picture quality”, the same words that they used when they launched in 2006. Why did they even reintroduce this box when everyone is buying HD? At least now there is 1080i resolution written below it.

Yes. I remember the TV Ads those days - showing people throwing their DVD players from their balconies. I took my first DTH connection from Tata Sky in 2006 itself. The cost then was Rs.3000+1000 towards activation and installation. In 2013 they replaced the box with MPEG4 box free of cost.

The sentence "now a part of the Walt Disney Company" is added very recently. Yesterday it was not there. On the other hand it can be just an information they added about TFCF(who they started their journey with)'s current owner.
But look into the Tata sons corporate website. It denotes the joint venture is going on.During TFCF time they were a brand partner (using Sky). Now Disney seems to be a silent partner.
