K.i read it .this cc people know nothing about satellite migration .

ok sudheep bro..i will come from your point of view.

Suppose if TS use GSAT 10 now, Their life time is 9 years remining only. But remember 12tps are not sufficient, even with all mpeg4.
Now they will order for more tps. For that ISRO has to launch another Satellite in 83*E. Till 2017, there is no plan to launch new satellite in this orbit. So ISRO has to get permission from govt. and need nearly 800 cr for this. It will take another 2 years to build this satellite and launch.
So atleast by 2018 they will launch it. So another three years.At that time, GSAT-10 life would be remained with another 6 years only.Even ISRO would launch new satellite with 12 Tp only.So within another 3 to 4 years, TS would require another satellite.So problem would remain.
For suppose if ISRO will launch new satellite with 24 TP in 83*E, no chance for this.Even their 54 Tp project is in pending..So how can TS wolud ger "more back ups"

We cant predict any thing bro.its all money matters.ISRO gave some relaxations to ts before.if isro gave some deal for ts to launch a satellite for them in 83deg with more back up tps within an year by taking spcl permission from the govt.then ts will definitly go with them coz isro satellite charges are very much cheaper than foreign sats

Planing Building and launching a sat within a year is next to impossible for ISRO because of mainly funding issue as a sat launching cost almost 800 crore which isn't a small penny.

And atlast there is no proposal submitted to Govt for new sat in that direction. ISRO/Govt is now mainly focusing on IRNSS

But why do you think that tata sky will not use asiasat 8 and will use GSAT 10
