All corporate welcome the new move. So the result is well known : Its again going to be against the end users

Basic NCF might cap at Rs.80 or 100 for 50 or 100 channels. Who watches 200+FTA scrap? 20 or 30 good FTA sufficient. TRAI it self bats for minimum channel viewing. We got all regional (eg. Tamil) FTA channels in basic pack. of Rs 99.
Even my base pack became around RS.70+ when I chose yearly pack ( Old tariff )

Mine is straight away 'No' for no reduction in NCF
Read the NTO 2020, it clearly states that DPOs are free to charge any amount of NCF, but not more than ₹160.
This is why some DPOs (Sun, d2h) & LCOs (Siti) gives DISCOUNT on their Curated Pack’s NCF (it's around ₹80 if you count)

First I will see new bouquets and ala carte prices then I will vote. 😉

Of course, they give discount on their curated packs only, not for the choice of customers.

Did you get English, Sports, Infotainment along with GEC, Movies & Kids under ₹200/m before 2018 on any DTH ?
if not, then please stop talking about old tarrif.
Here I told RS.70+ (which is actually RS.74 ) is my base pack only. I've subscribed it in August 2018

Really? Before the NTO 2019 I used to get all Tamil channels and 40 HD channels for Rs.219 with recorder subscription included in it. But today I'm paying Rs.234 for Tami FTA channels and just 4 HD channels. Surprised to hear that bills have come down.
TN can't be compared to the rest.

Your entertainment channels are heavily subsidized majorly by political parties to spread their agenda even more than other states.

We needed to add a mandatory add-on for around 60 rupees, apart from the 99 base pack (There was a bug in Airtel, to bypass this, but it wasn't official). And there was no need to declare anything called NCF, in the old regime. The deals were happening in dark, and the consumer never knew what was the actual channel price and what goes to the DPO!
Not a big deal to pay RS.99+60=159. But now NCF itself is RS.153 which gives 90% useless channels. Beyond that we have to pay extra for the channels we actually watch, which will raise your bill around Rs. 400. If not, to keep your DTH bill low, subscribe to FTA channels and 3 to 4 paid channels with good content
