This new tariff order needs to be trashed immediately! I think Star just wanted to get the 15 percent rule removed, that's why they fought this order and they won. Time to change thread prefix to bad news.

Nothing will happen guys!! Since now we will have direct control at what to watch and with how much price to watch as now rates will be direct from broadcaster. So i am 100% sure soon they will realize real value of the content and soon price will come down. Even if we wait for one month and continue with bare minimum, price will be down and that is what TRAI wants as well and withdraw the case!! I think it is good move!!!

Nothing will happen guys!! Since now we will have direct control at what to watch and with how much price to watch as now rates will be direct from broadcaster. So i am 100% sure soon they will realize real value of the content and soon price will come down. Even if we wait for one month and continue with bare minimum, price will be down and that is what TRAI wants as well and withdraw the case!! I think it is good move!!!

This is only true for those who are paying heavily in the old system (Read Tata Sky). If you take Airtel/Sun/Cable, they are already charging very low for al-a-carte. So if one desires to take a particular set of channels, they could take minimum pack at 99 rupees and add whatever channels they want. Now with the new rules, most of the channel prices are higher than earlier in these DPOs and there may not be packs like Max HD which was very economical. And I don't even want to talk about village and rural area users where they would just have to listen what their LCO says. They will definitely end up paying more than what they are paying right now for much much less number of channels!!

Read the 1st Quote and 2nd quote see how it's cotradictory of those lines .. what direct control we have ?? Other than pay ?? I want star sports channels at 5/m is it possible ?? I want ncf as 70-80 RS can I ?? U himself telling direct control and other side ur telling price will come down ?? So now u think price are high right ?? Then it's failure of trai isn't it ??

Now it's Crystal clear it's all coz of corporate they don't want any pay channels as part of their package want to subscribe as alacarte .. so for that this jumla and drama happend by so called people well wisher TRAI .. now drama ended today and TRAI color display today

1st of all this junk TRAI have to dissolve from our country then only people will feel free they are always doing decision against people and satisfy corporate wheather it's Telecom or DTH doesn't matter

Nothing contradictory here..I said when broadcaster know how much people are watching then now they can give clear price to us and now there will be no middle man here. So in long run it will be better informed platform ...
