In addition to Network Capacity Fee of Rs.130 DTHs will take Commission of 2% and 3% for each SD, HD Channels from the money we pay to Broadcasters.
20% distribution fee and additional LCN fee can be deducted from broadcaster prices by operators. This will be the pay channel equivalent of carriage fee. Yes all of this is addition to network capacity fee charged to subscriber. Which is why this tariff sucks.

So if a person wants 100 SD channels then

Bouquet of 25 channels X 4 (Rs 20 for 25 SD channels)
Rs 20 X 4 =Rs 80

And I'd he wants 60 HD channels then (Rs 20 for 12 HD channels)
Bouquet of 12 channels X 5 (1 HD = 2 SD)
Rs 20 X 5 =Rs 100

Add network capacity fee Rs 130 for 100 FTA channels

So Rs 80+100+130= Rs 310

So for a total of 260 Channels they subscriber has to Pay Rs 310

Is this calculation right ?

Network capacity fee for SD CHANNEL is Rs.1.30 and for HD CHANNEL is Rs.2.60 (upto Rs.130 is mandatory) + Bouquet costs like below
Pricing of STAR Bouquets
MRP of Base 49
MRP of Premium 79
MRP of HD Base 85
MRP of HD Premium 120

The authority stated that the broadcasters have the freedom to make bouquets. The bouquet cannot contain free to air (FTA) channels, channels with MRP of more than Rs. 19, HD and SD variant of the same channels.
This, it stated, will protect the interest of the consumers and prevent illusory offers and perverse pricing.
Distribution platform operators (DPOs) can charge a maximum of Rs. 130 (excluding taxes) as network capacity fee for providing 100 SD channels.

Wrong. As per my calculation, network capacity fee for 100 SD channels=Rs.130 + 60 HD Channels is = Rs.150 (addtional capacity fee for 20 SD are Rs25, so for 1 HD is Rs.2.50). So, total capacity fee will be Rs.280 + Pay tv rates / Bouquet rates. FTA channels will be free, who paid network capacity fee for them.

You have done it completely wrong.

Rs.20 for 25 SD Channels and Rs.20 for 12 HD Channels is additional Network Capacity Fee only if customer takes more than 100 Channels it doesn't include cost of Pay Channels.

Here's the calculation:

1. Disney SD bouquet - Rs.10
Disney HD Bouquet - Rs.15

2. ETV Network SD Bouquet - Rs.24
ETV HD(Alacarte) - Rs.19

3. Tuner SD Bouquet - Rs.12
Tuner HD Bouquet - Rs.16

4. Sony Big HD Bouquet - Rs.116
5. Star Telugu HD Premium Bouquet - Rs.110

Total 10+15+24+19+12+16+116+100 = Rs.312

Network Capacity Fee (Rs.130) + Pay Channels Total (Rs.312) = Rs.442

This is how its calculated if you want channels Broadcaster wise.

The its costly. What if a customer wants this pack to be around Rs 300-350 ???
