Don't blame Govt as Govt is doing right thing by restricting foreign satellite. :clap

If Govt allow foreign sat then yes we can solve transponder shortage problem but this move will kill our ISRO's revenue and many domestic private firm's business who produce different parts of satellite, launch vehicle etc because all these things will be from foreign companies. So ultimately unemployment will increase. Now imagine if u don't have money then how do u buy LCD and watch favorite HD channels using DTH ?

Now the only solution for this Problem is which i had already mentioned before is that Their should be a New DTH or Cable Operator launched in India which should only concentrate on HD rather then SD channels. Has it is not possible for current DTH operators to Invest in HD channels has they have already invested crores to hire satellite but if a new DTH player enters the Market then it can start all from the beginning with new Satellite free TP plus and they can ask the broadcasters to Start HD feed for their channels which many broadcaster can do has every where they are using HD camera's. But now many Broadcaster are not interested in providing HD feed for their channels has their is no demand from DTH or Cable Side. Now for example Sony has already got permission to down link more HD channels but still they didn't launched HD version for Set Max, Sab Tv and Sony pix just bcuz their is no demand for HD channels from DTH or Cable operators

WoW lots of questions.
1. We all know the reason. PSLV can only launch 1300 kg in GTO. Now using GSLV MKII we can launch 2500 kg sat. so we can expect heavier sat with high bandwidth.

2. TS use INSAT 4A, DDD+ INSAT 4B all other use foreign sat. Absolutely correct. But wait a minute. India has 800 channels. All broadcaster has to uplink these channels to some sat from where these DTH operators are downlinking then compress encrypt then uplink to their sat. Also Defence ministry use dedicated sat for communication. Even all banks require sat for communication. So there are many use of TP.

3. About GSAT 10 users u have to file RTI to ISRO. But I can say GAGAN in GSAT 10 is working as DGCA gave it clearance for commercial use..

4. Reason behind ADTV,Sundirect or DishTV move to foreign sat is know to all. GSLV failure.

There is a problem with that. Subscription fee for HD DTH will be higher side as they only have HD channels. I think three time the current. Much like iphone in India. As Indians are value conscious so it doesn't look like a profitable business to me. :lol

I don't think so.I think it will increase employment because foreign companies will setup their business here.This is one strong reason in favour of FDI by govt.

I heard a digital cable 7star ,mumbai(used by most celebrities) provides max. HD channels in india.
