bro... how many MSOs r available in chennai n tamil nadu at present :huh:huh

n also what is the cost difference between msos n local cable operators :huh:huh

More MSO exists in Chennai & TN.

But Majorly SCV serves Chennai via Analog & Digital.
SCV Analog provides only 40 channels for Rs.120/-P.M.

Arasu serves major parts of TN via analog alone providing 90+ channels for Rs.70-120/-P.M.

Arasu awaits for DAS License.

Hope it clears your doubt..

I m not sure about the popularity of these chnls... bcoz, if they were so popular, their trp's wud have been a lot higher... and DTH ops wud have been forced to add these chnls then :s

Bro many mp/cg channels are not in dth, d2h only have 4 channels. So u cant say only tamil channels missing

Polimer group is rival to Sun TV, bcoz the sun tv viewers switched to polimer for watching prime time soaps. The reason is sun tv showing crap programmes even in prime time. thats why it never add Polimer in their DTH (same thing happened to Zee Tamil and Puthuyugam earlier)
In news segment Sun Network never allow others to grow, thats why polimer news not included.
But I dont know why neutral operators like ADTV, D2H, Dish TV etc not considering Polimer News.
I have written many times to my ADTV to include Polimer News but no inclination.

It is not like that bro.. No comparison between other language channels.. It is just about these specific Tamil channels.

I watched Polimer News many times. It is a good channel and providing neutral news.. Not sure why it is not there in any DTH.

I watched Peppers TV as well but not much. But they were showing good songs whenever I was watching it.

Sathiyam TV is also a good news channel. Even that channel is having a link in their website to request the channel from DTH platform. It will send auto email to the all DTH customer care.

Similarly, the channels MK TV, ARRA TV, Super TV and 7S Music are also good channels. But they are not much popular.

But one thing is sure that DTH operators are expecting carriage fee from these channels and that is why the channels are not available.

These channels are good comparing Raj Digital Plus. But Raj Digital Plus is available in 2 DTH (Dish and D2H). So, carriage fee is the key here.

..

@ sadiq bro

less popula channels r also paying carriage fees to dth companies :(:(
then y not these two tv channels i.e. polimer n pepper can pay carriage fees to dth co. :huh:huh

in simple words - more availability means more trps means more revenues - carriage fees paid to the dth = more n more profits

It all depends on the deal between channel and DTH.
