They can be successful just like Flowers TV. With different type programmes. Still flowers tv running well without having the satellite rights of latest popular movies.

In Malayalam they should have good quality programming with a large movie library and they should also launch a high-definition feed. Otherwise they will not be able to sustain for a long time. Zee Telugu/Kannada are able to get high ratings without HD feeds because they have been there for a long time.
Can Zee acquire a local channel like Kaumudy/Janam which is not politically affiliated?

And I heard serials are not popular in Punjab, only music and movies? The old Zee Punjabi and Zee ETC Punjabi never showed serials.

Janam TV is a BJP owned channel.

For Malayalam market,
There whole South cluster is going well. So they can try to spend good money in zee Malayalam. Like we can take an example of &tv. Besides getting low ratings they're spending well on the channel.

They'll surely try to get some good movie titles for zee Malayalam.

In case of serials, they'll try to remake the shows which got success in other southern markers.

They'll also try to remake there successful reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, dance India dance, drama juniors, etc.

They'll launch HD feed based on ratings only. Even within a year of launch if zee Malayalam able to make it in top5 it'll be a huge success for them.

Right now Flowers channel is the best GEC in Malayalam, second position holding by Mazhavil Manorama, Asianet is a waste channel,they are telecasting only serials and movies..so Zee malayalam has good chance to become the top position in malayalam if they follow the standards of their Hindi GEC...

Yes, Flowers TV is the best GEC channel with variety of programmes but unfortunately Asianet ruling the Malayalam GEC category with worst programmes.:sleepy:

Yeah,
For all regional zee GEC's,reality show has always been a strong point. Here it'll be same they just need to get few popular faces from Malayalam industry.

But there should not be any dubbed content in prime time. It will be fine for evening slot.

Also recently I noticed that asianet's ratings are reduced. So currently it could be the perfect time to enter in this market.
