DSport HD now available on Sun Direct

Discovery Communications India on 17th February relaunched its sports channel DSport HD and within a month DTH Operator Sun Direct has added this channel on its platform. As of now, no other operator is offering high definition version of this sports channel, Sun Direct is the first DPO to add it.

DSport HD is available on Sun Direct at LCN 989. The a-la-carté price of Dsport HD is set to Rs 6 per month, Discovery Communications has added this channel in 3 of its bouquets without increasing price. HD Bouquet 1 – Basic Infotainment HD (Tamil) Pack, HD Bouquet 2 – Basic Infotainment HD Pack, and HD Bouquet 3 – Infotainment + Sports HD are the broadcaster packs carrying this channel.

With this latest addition total HD channels on Sun Direct is increased to 75. The operator has also modified all of its HD curated packs for the addition of 4 channels namely DSPORT HD, Animal Planet HD World, Discovery HD World and TLC HD World.

Earlier in February, the operator had added 1 national and 5 regional SD channels which include Republic Bharat, DD Aizawal, DD Kohima, DD Imphal, DD Raipur, and DD Shillong. But Sun Direct still lacks popular channels such as Zee Keralam HD, Zee Thirai, Zee Tamil HD, Colors Tamil HD and more.
