GTPL Hathway earlier this week reported the financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2021, registering a net profit of Rs 453 million. GTPL Hathway seeded 200,000 set-top boxes during the quarter taking its CATV subscriber base to 7.85 million.
GTPL’s revenue stood at Rs 5,847 million with CATV subscription revenue at Rs 2,677 million. The profit after tax stood at Rs 453 million.
GTPL has now seeded 10.41 million set-top boxes and has 7.85 million active subscribers out of which 7.3 million are paying subscribers. The active and paying subscriber base has increased by 100K each on a Q-o-Q basis.
Commenting on the performance, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, Managing Director, GTPL Hathway said, “GTPL Hathway continues to deliver on key KPIs. The highlight of H1 FY21 performance was strong profitability, debt reduction, geographical expansion and robust operational performance. During the first six months of the current year we have reduced our gross debt by ₹ 440 million. Our Broadband business has gained momentum and we added 1,30,000 Broadband subscribers during H1 FY21. We are No.6 private wireline broadband company in India, offering high speed and truly unlimited data. We are looking forward for a strong H2 FY21 coupled with our planned launch of Hybrid Box in coming months.”
GTPL will also launch its Hybrid set-top box in H2 FY 21 which will bundle CATV services along with broadband and OTT services as a bundle by tying up with different service providers.
