Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati on Monday declared the results for the recently concluded 47th E-Auction that saw ABZY Movies and News State UP/UK win MPEG-2 slots on a pro-rata basis. The announcement of 47th E-Auction results came a few days late after the E-Auction was held.
ABZY Movies is a Free to Air (FTA) Hindi Movies channel from the stable of ABZY Group while News State Uttar Pradesh/ Uttarakhand (UP/UK) is a Hindi Movies channel focussed on Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The latter belongs to News Nation Network.
Both the channels will be available on the DD Free Dish platform starting from 6th August up to 31st March 2021 on a pro-rata basis. News State UP/UK is currently already available on DD Free Dish having won a MPEG-4 slot on a pro-rata basis in the recently concluded 46th E-Auction. News Nation Network is likely to vacate the MPEG-4 slot since it has landed a MPEG-2 slot.
The allotment of MPEG-2 slots to ABZY Movies and News State UP/UK leaves one vacant MPEG-2 slot on DD Free Dish with one MPEG-4 slot likely to become vacant shortly when News State UP/UK vacates it.
