Ortel Communications CEO Bibhu Prasad Rath steps down

Ortel in a BSE filing stated that Mr.Bibhu Prasad Rath has resigned from the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.

Odisha based Multi-System Operator (MSO) and high-speed broadband provider Ortel Communications on Monday notified the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO will be relieved of his duties next month.

Ortel in a BSE filing stated that Mr.Bibhu Prasad Rath has resigned from the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. It further stated that the resolution professional of the company had accepted the resignation with the CEO being relieved of his responsibilities effective from the close of business hours on April 03, 2020.

Bibhu Prasad Rath has been associated with the company since October 1999. The company had appointed him as the whole-time director in 2018. He was back then the Ortel President and CEO.

The filing has been issued with the approval of Mr. Srigopal Choudhary, the Resolution Professional appointed by the National Company Law Tribunal Law in 2019. Ortel is under the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016.
