UPDATE [10th January] : Tata Sky has added previously removed 4 channels- Gujarat Samachar TV, India News, News 11 Bharat and Sadhna News in the FTA Complementary pack.

Direct To Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has dropped 10 channels from its FTA Complimentary pack. After the removals, the channel count of the FTA Complimentary pack is now reduced to 148 channels.

India News, Manoranjan TV, A1 TV, 9X Tashan, News 11 Bharat, Vedic, Gujarat Samachar TV, Sarthi TV, iLove Pen Studios and HNN 24×7 are the channels that have been dropped from this pack. These channels will continue to air on the platform.

DreamDTH spoke to Tata Sky regarding the removals of channels from the FTA Complementary pack. Tata Sky Representative Teluri Maunika speaking to DreamDTH said, “These channels are removed from the FTA Complementary pack on 3rd January because Tata Sky was providing them under a promotional offer which is now discontinued.”

FTA Complimentary pack primarily includes Hindi and regional free to air channels. The pack is totally free of charge and its channels don’t count against the Network Capacity Fee (NCF) slab. Tata Sky viewers who wish to watch these channels can subscribe to them on the à-la-carte basis and pay applicable NCF.

On 30th December Tata Sky has launched Kadak Bollywood music station on the Tata Sky Music platform service channel. This new station will play pure Bollywood content like the latest hits from new releases, interviews with the star cast of new movies and Bollywood gossips. Tata Sky Music service costs Rs 2 per day.

Last month also Tata Sky had removed 11 channels from the FTA Complementary pack. However, later the DTH operator has added 8 other channels in this pack.
