Tata Sky now offering 15 Days of Extra Service on 6 months recharge

Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky is providing a 1-month extra service under its ‘Cashback Offer’ on recharging for 12 months for quite a while but now the DTH operator has expanded this offer to provide benefits to customers recharging for 6 months also.

DreamDTH came to initially know through our community forum member Nagi Reddy that Tata Sky is now crediting a bonus 15 days balance based on Monthly Burn Rate (MBR) in the account of customers who are recharging with an amount equal to or more than 6 months and less than 12 months. DreamDTH was independently able to verify the same via Tata Sky Customer Care.

As you can see from the above image which is from the Tata Sky MSales app, a 6 Months recharge of Rs 1746 gives the customer a bonus of Rs 145.5. The monthly package charge is Rs 291 which translates to a daily burn rate of Rs 9.7. If you are to divide Rs 145.5 by Rs 9.7, the resultant is 15 days which you get extra on a 6 month recharge.

While Tata Sky earlier last year renamed its Tata Sky Flexi Plan to Tata Sky Cashback Offer, the MSales app seems to be showing the old name only.

Tata Sky Representative was quoted as saying, “By recharging the Tata Sky account for 6 months MBR customers will get 15 days bonus amount within 48 hours in their Tata Sky account.”

The monthly burn rate is a one-month recharge amount for your Tata Sky account. To know the MBR, customers can simply call on 088804 08804 from their registered mobile number and then recharge with 6 times their monthly charge to avail the cashback.

The cashback will be credited within 48 hours of the successful recharge. There are no restrictions such as lock-in period so subscribers can continue to add or drop channels, packs at any point of time and as many times as he wants as they wish. Users can also suspend their account temporarily when needed.

Customers are eligible to claim discount coupons on recharges done through Tatasky.com, mytatasky.com or Tata Sky mobile app and can also avail various offers on making payments using digital wallets.

Earlier, the company had announced that it will offer 2 months extra balance till 30th June on recharging for 12 months using any Citi Bank Credit or Debit card issued in India except Citi Corporate Credit Card.
