Pay-TV broadcaster Times Network has postponed the launch of its upcoming Hindi Business news channel ‘ET Now Swadesh‘ which was initially scheduled to launch w.e.f 1st September 2021. The broadcaster has revised its plan to launch the upcoming channel from 1st October 2021. The channel will now launch after a 30 days delay on both an a-la-carte basis and as part of various bouquets. Times Network has kept all other terms and conditions of its RIO effective 1st August 2021 unchanged.
“This is to inform that the introduction of Times Network’s new channel namely, “ET Now Swadesh” which was scheduled w.e.f. 1st September, 2021 has been postponed and the same will now be launched w.e.f. 1st October, 2021 both on a-la-carte basis and as part of various bouquets. All other terms and conditions of our RIO Effective 1st August, 2021 shall remain unchanged,” said Times Network in a notice.
Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. had last month announced the launch of Times Now Navbharat HD on 1st August 2021 and ET Now Swadesh on 1 September 2021. The former has already launched while the latter is now postponed. ET Now Swadesh will be a Standard Definition (SD) Hindi News & Current Affairs channel. BCCL will add ET Now Swadesh to Bouquet 1, 2, 3 and 4 effective 1st September 2021 as per its amended RIO.
Times Network additionally is launching Bouquet-6 effective 1st September 2021. The bouquet will offer ET Now Swadesh, Zoom, and Mirror Now at Rs 1.5 excluding GST.
