Zee Telugu is set to add to its lineup of shows with the launch of a new ingenious fiction offering – Mukkupudaka. The traditional and deep-rooted family drama show is set to premiere on 11th July. The show will air every Monday to Saturday at 8 PM, only on Zee Telugu.
The show will steer clear of the usual mother-in-law and daughter-in-law tussle. Mukkupudaka revolves around Vedavati’s desperate search for a daughter-in-law who could be her successor in fulfilling a religious obligation to save their village from the wrath of Goddess Annapurna Devi.
The catch is that the daughter-in-law’s horoscope must completely match Vedavati’s horoscope. Her younger son, Srikar is Vedavati’s only hope as her money-minded elder son goes against her wishes.
Srikar falls in love with Avani, a tourist guide in the city as Vedavati’s search continues. Will Avani’s horoscope match Vedavati’s horoscope? If not, will Vedavati accept Avani as her daughter-in-law? The intriguing traditional family drama starts next week on Zee Telugu.
