Now, if this happens then Airtel and Reliance both will become stake holders of Tata Play. 😂😂

So, Very low chances

Disney-Star will exit Tata Play by selling the stakes held by them in JV..... They r already looking for a right valuation since sometime to take this decision, at first Tata will buyback the stake and then the agreement for selling company wil proceed

I Told You Already

The Terms And Conditions Put By Tata Play Is Really Tough For Airtel

One Has To Give Up

During festive seasons progress in such agreements usually go slow..... Also running offers does not mean that deal has been cancelled or postponed but until the agreement is finalised companies continue operating respective businesses taking required decisions but bid decisions r cancelled or deffered like Tata Play shelved IPO plans.

RIL/Viacom18 have 19% stake in Tata Play (balance 11% with Disney) after Star-Viacom18 merger by Nov2024, so they might block Airtel to acquire Tata Play completely. Otherwise Star India will face distribution issues from Airtel's monopoly in DTH.

Since RIL is now indirectly involved, till any official announcement, forget that a report published in ET that Airtel is buying Tata Play. 😂😂

Disney officially said that they will transfer their stake in Tata Play to the merged company.

And Anyway Airtel is doing very good in DTH business, why they need to acquire Tata Play? All will be happy if both will stay separate entities. Airtel users not have to Pay increased NCF and Tata Play users will stay away from 30 days lock in period.

Wait n Watch..... It is not so simple as u r making out to be by simply reading an information..... We have had discussions why Tata is considering selling DTH business and why Airtel is interested in it

who said you? pls don't post unnecessary your imagination posts . Tata already said no to Disney on March itself that they'll not take the shares from Disney. That's Disney star was looking for different buyers. So Tata is not interested in Disney shares but Reliance may buy all if possible in future.

No such issue buddy, As Disney-Star owns stake in Tata Play and all of their broadcast assets r part of merger agreement hence accordingly shares/stake in Tata Play is being allocated to Reliance, soon u wil see them exiting the JV...... Also no such monopoly will be created if Airtel acquires Tata Play, unlike other operators Airtel has always been fair , balanced and unbiased while engaging in discussions with broadcasters be it on any matter.... They have never sided with anyone bcoz there is no reason to do so and never had any conflict of interest regarding this matter unlike Tata Play or Dish TV wherein stakeholders involved direct or indirect link to a broadcaster which sometimes creates such imbalance or bias

Read my post again and u will get the answer..... Disney wanted to sell the stake held by them in Tata Play but did not agree with valuation given to it..... Also please discuss on topic rather than saying things like i am saying this based on imagination which again is untrue as i always make statements based on analysing and decoding past happenings + information...... Similar things were said when i made some comments regarding Aiirtel Digital TV and now u r seeing slowly these things turning out to be true...so please have patience and see what actually happens
