Yesterday I had requested Tata Play connection for relocation and in a few hours Tata Play guy came home for relocation. Actually the connection had to be shifted in the same building Roof same hardly 50 m away only flat number change.

Actually, I did not use Tata Play for the last 2 months. Due to room shifting, I thought that whenever Tata Play guy comes, I will uninstall the dish myself. Only 4 screws have to be removed. I didn't want to pay 200 to uninstall. I deliberately asked Guy how much money it takes to uninstall, then he said 200 from the company's side but you give me 100, I said you put wire, I will remove the dish. He came while I was removing the screws of the dish. he told me “I have seen many customers who happily give money to the company as much as they say.” I didn't say anything to him.

He was using the old screws, I told him to put a new one, then he put a new one. All the wires were correct, the connector was also correct, he put only one RG59 new. I told him to put tape in the joint between two wires, then he refused and said that he would not apply tape on it.
He put a zip tie only in the dish. I asked to put a tie in the grill a little far away from where the wire had gone down, but he refused again. Now I want to ask all the members that Is it necessary to tape the jointer or not?
Last time TP guy had said that you should tape it, he did not have it at the moment.

Even inside the room, I asked to put a cable clip, then he put it.

Today after 2 days, 300₹ relocations and 50₹ RG59 have been cut from my Tata Play balance. Only one RG59 used.

This has happened last time with me, Tata Play guy lied and took more money from me for the connector.

I called that guy but he didn't pick up the phone. I did not call customer care because it was evening, now I will call tomorrow.

We DDF members knows most of the things. Think how much they loot technically unknown persons & normal people.

Tata Play charges Rs. 50 for using any part of the 4-screw kit. The technician will get and he keep the unused screws and parts
Applying adhesive tape is recommended for outdoor cable joints to protect against rain and sunlight."

While I am replying late, one Issue I notice is that there's no accountability here. They do not give any official receipt of charges anywhere.
So it's the technician who loots in between.
I have been using satellite tv for a long time and during every repair their charges are random. They also have no knowledge of proper routing and fastening the cables properly.
In one incident when I needed to change the remote, the guy removed pencil cells from my old remote and put them in new one and kept the new cells that came with remote to himself. Absolutely pathetic behavior. I don't know if there's any right word to express this behavior!

30 Rs कि चोरी कि उसने - चिंधीचोर

Another thing I notice is that if their troubleshooting goes wrong they charge for every changed part.
In my building painting work was going on, so when the signal stopped I had realized that mostly the paint has damaged the coupler that joins two wires.
Despite telling him my thought, he blamed it on LNB. He said LNB is faulty and will be charged X rs, he changed it, still the issue was there. Then he realized I was right, the coupler had gone bad then he changed coupler. I was in no mood to argue with him as I was in WFH and about to get into meeting. He took back old LNB and charged me for both LNB as well as coupler + service charges.

There's no accountability and transparency in this business.
