Bro I also facing Recording issue after software update. I activated one month Recording. After one month over I removed Recording add-on from my dishtv apk Now It's work free for me & I did same for my friend He also get free now

You can manage your add on packs through 'My Dish TV' app or web @ DTH(Direct To Home) Service Provider India, HD/SD Set Top Box –DishTV by login to your account.

I have not heard about recording paid add on. Recoarding facility is free and no where on dish tv website they mentioned about paid recoarding ala carte
