what is use of 5 digit channel number

If they want users to restrict access to any channel then they do this trick. So that user cann't easily access the channel. Earlier it was not possible to use 5 digit ch no using remote.
This happen to some channels in the past & recently with India TV.

i never said software updated for playing ads at the centre of the screen, you got it wrong.
it is the new feature noticed first time in my dishtv stb on this old version of software.
