Sorry for quoting your post bro why plates are not in the reception for food it is quite different i know people are eating on leaf in south India but on marriage's and reception's also :unsure: here its not possible :rolleyes:
Bro. Why ask sorry. Here not only in functions, most of hotels using banana leaf. It's main factor neatness. If plate one person used, same use by another person. I don't like eat food in plates in hotel. And the leaves have some medicinal uses also. And main we eat much food in banana leaves. More are there. I tell main factors only.

If reception is buffet, plates are required. If food is served on table, then banana leaf can be used.
