i bought my HD DVR long back
in the past the clarity of HD and SD channels are very good.
but in recent times the clarity is lost too much in sd channels
and some clarity lose in HD channels
do i need to change any settings to my STB
please give me complete info and explanation.
i am very thankful to you people.

if channel numbers change, can we still play recorded programs(saved with old channel number)

For the first question, Goto settings - system setup - HD setup post what you see and also aspect ratio post what you see.

For your second question, I think this should be possible since recording gets stored on the storage. But since I don't own a DVR, can't confirm.

And for 2nd que. You can watch your recorded content And wait for @KV bro. He will confirm it becaz he is a dvr user.
