Friends I have a very basic doubt, may I know the pixel size of HD channels in ADTV like 720p or 1080p? If it's 720p then wat kind of difference will it give to the pq when watching in HD ready tv(720p) and full hd tv(1080p). Will there be a huge difference in pq while watching in full hd tv rather than on hd ready tv? kindly clarify. Thanks in advance.

HD ready TV or Full HD tv doesn't make any true sense when you are using a tv less than 42 or 44 inch. If your TV is bigger than 42/44 inch then ur eye can differentiate b/w 720p and 1080p picture.
and if u have to use proper viewing distance for proper Enjoying ur HD content whether ur tv is large or small.

According to scatmag.com (scatmag.com - Satellite & Cable TV) 11480 v is using FEC 8/9

wikipedia on 8/9 FEC

"Encoding values 8/9 and 9/10 behave poorly under marginal link conditions (where the signal level is below the noise level). However, with targeted spot Ku or Ka band downlinks these code rates may be recommended to prevent out-of-region viewing for copyright or cultural reasons."

Why is SES using a poor forward error correction ratio on transponder 11480 V ?
