Have u guys watched movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya, Cheeni Kum, Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar (MP3), Akele Hum Akele Tum, Ye Kya Ho Raha Hai, Guru (2008), Delhi-6, Iqbal, Dor, Maachis (1996), Salaam Namaste, Parinda, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Mission Kashmir, Tere Mere Sapne and so many other movies....

They r either not shown or sometimes aired in 12- 6 AM slot. Don't know if teens or those in early 20's even know of these. Channels not only need to air such movies but promote it well to get viewers interested. People tend to have short recall value hence those who loved these movies earlier, they too must have forgotten about them by now. Take some lessons from Times Network, they don't have first output deals but movies get better ratings when aired on their channels than what it gets during world tv premiere or repeats while rights r with other channels.

This is applicable for Sony Max HD (showing Bollywood movies before 2011 in the 12am–8am slot). Moreover it has stopped showing classic movies as that role is served by Max 2.

No bhai, applies to all but scale of problem varies. U r right Sony is on top as far as limiting bollywood films to odd hours but others also do it, not to major movies but certainly to lesser known good films. Sony needs to start a bollywood movie channel, also they hardly show classic movies now even on Max2. Tell me when u watched Kati Patang, Amar Prem, Golmaal (Old), Guddi, Mili, Khatta Meetha (Old), Disco Dancer, Chupke Chupke, Anand etc. at proper timing on Max2?

That's nice. Old Disney Channel shows (Hindi serials) have completely disappeared from TV screens since 2016. Good that Disney has made them readily available on YouTube. I hope Disney doesn't add them on Hotstar since they will be removed from YouTube.

Back in days they laid great emphasis on these shows and promoted it quite well but sadly audience response was not satisfactory. Can't blame them for taking these off air.

Also look at current cartoons, full of 3rd class language, crass humour, promoting inappropriate behaviour and they r getting eyeballs. Kids these days r growing up on wrong content and neither government nor channels r worried about this.

Actually soon it will have 2 names, sometimes Action and other times Aksion. Will keep alternating on basis of content. They cannot ignore their favorite star on any channel
